I read somewhere, don't know if it was on this thread earlier, of someone who had the same problem. They opened the phone up, to find it was the battery loose from its glue, or whatever it is they use to stop it moving about.

Oh oh. That doesn't sound good then. Think maybe a call to Apple is needed :(

What do you think to this text I got last night from orange?

I haven't had anything this morning except a text saying turn phone off then on again/ upgraded services (which I found odd).

Does it look like I'm going to get it?

Just received the text!! Wahoo out for delivery!!

The only slight rattle on mine is the sleep wake button being slightly loose but all my iPhones have done that.

Mine isn't the sleep wake button. It feels like and sounds like the battery or something heavier loose inside

It may not be LTE but here is my Three Mobile 3G speed test. Looking forward to when they switch on their LTE now.:D

This is what I get on Orange-Tmobile
Looking forward to LTE....

may i ask what you use 23gb on?

In my worst month recently (when the wifi stopped working at uni) I would have consumed around 1.2 gb, and that was doing a lot of stuff.

If you asked me to dl that much in a month, i wouldn't know where to start.

Downloading huge photos (25M raw files)

Does all you can eat data come with any limits? The limit is how much your device can consume – if you were to actively use data or the Internet on your phone every second, of every day, in every month (and we would be worried if you were !!!!) you would, subject to the current traffic management requirements (which vary from time to time), use up to 1000GB per month. So in essence there is a limit of how much data you can actually consume which is up to 1000GB. All this means that you can have absolute piece of mind and enjoy all the internet you need on your smartphone, without worrying.

apologies chaps but that has definitely changed since I signed up for Unlimited data with three. I have a copy of th T&C on the website and the T&C that came with the SIM and there is no mention of any limit. I will be filing a complaint with the ASA as three are misleading everyone.

I moved when Tmobile introduced their 512K limit and was very doubtful that three was truly an unlimited service but the T&Cs had no catches like the above.

I can eat more than 1G a nod I do every month, well more than 1G but as I said I've had no limits calls or otherwise.

Regards,
Neil.

Anyone had to contact SYNCREON about no-show deliveries yesterday? Mine was due to come to my work address but after about 6:30 I had to give up.

Calling SYNCREON this morning, they were closed so have to wait until Monday now. I wonder if they would be logical enough to just automatically send it back out on Monday without me having to call them?!

Businesses don't usually work with 'logic' much though.

The more annoying thing is the total lack of information on Apple's part. On the order status page it just says:

Out for Delivery Sep 21, 2012
Unable to Complete Delivery - please contact carrier for new delivery appointment Sep 21, 2012

I mean "contact carrier"?! Yeah, cheers! How about you at least give the the phone number to do that!

Bah. Oh well...

I ordered on Sunday 16th around 5-6pm and just had my text saying its out for delivery. This was an upgrade order. Wasn't expecting it this soon.

People who have been buying in Apple Stores - can you confirm whether 30-pin to Lightening adaptors are available at all in store?

I assume not but just wanted to check whether there's any chance of getting one earlier than my on line order (shipping "October').

Thanks and apologies if this has been asked before.

Not an iPhone 5 question but sort of related.

Do Vodafone give out Micro sims in store? I've given my 4 to my girlfriend who's currently stuck with a Galaxy S. I'm such a nice lad :D

I don't think there is any cause for concern here, the limit is 1000GB which is 1TB. Downloading your example of 23GB will only use 2.3% of that limit.

Edit: I know there are some pedantic people on this thread so I should say that 1000GB equals 0.977TB :)

Post not intended to gloat, just to let others judge their timings.

Just had a text saying mine is being delivered today.
The tracking number history actually shows it was first updated last night, but I was not told.

I ordered a 32Gb black from Orange as an upgrade customer at 3:10pm last Friday and had no email or texts (besides error one) to confirm my order, but my money was taken on Friday and contract started on 14th too.

Hope this helps.

My phone looks set to arrive on Monday, a week earlier than expected.

I'm going to a Three store today to get a Nano-SIM with the Ultimate Internet 200 1 month deal - can they do this for me in store? I don't want a PAYG SIM I want a SIM-Only Contract rolling per month.

I suppose I just waltz in, ask for a Nano Sim Contract, they take me over to the list of tariffs, I pick one, they set me up a My3 account, take my details down etc and that's it, ready to pop into the phone when it arrives?

OH - And when do I need to request my PAC code? Is it BEFORE I get the SIM, or before I insert the SIM into the phone?

Three sent a text yesterday saying sorry we messed up for my upgrade not new contract and said they would send delivery information again.

It turned up at 8.30am. Well done to 3 for paying the Saturday surcharge because of their error - £17 the driver told me.

Just spoke to Orange again. So yesterday they gave me a reference number for UKmail which was someone elses. Today they gave me an orange reference which is neither an Orange shop order number nor a UKmail reference. 8 digits beginning with 3. Might that be another delivery company??

Ah, so it's not just the US batches that have these issues. Gotta say, I know the majority received their iPhones in flawless condition, but there are a LOT of people complaining of dents/chips/nicks. Wouldn't ever expect this with Apple.

Are they sending you out a new phone before you send the dented one back? What was the process, if you don't mind me asking?

This nick, is quite bad TBH. It like there has been no quality control on the assembly line. I am rather disappointed about it. However this is the 1st time I have ever had this issue with an Apple product.

Basically my network provider are sending out a new phone on monday and they will just swap them over. I may of been able to goto an Apple store and had it switched straight away but thought id try them first.

Pretty much, although you set up the My3 account yourself online.

You can request a PAC code at any time - you have 30 days to use it before you need to request another.
