Okay so I've got my Iphone 5.... Now what?! Feel like now I've had it a day and got used to all the changes (that im aware off) now it's just like my old 4S. I need to find something amazing on it to keep me going! I do love it though, excited for all the cases to be released etc!

Suppose that is the danger of upgrading every time, I am going from 4 to 5 as didn't feel 4 to 4s was much of a change, i will be happy with 5 as it can do some stuff on io6 that the 4 can't, Siri, 3d maps, panaramic photos etc. but it is basically the same phone as the 4s but smaller and faster processor, don't think there is anything the the 5 can do that the 4s can't feature wise, just a better design and better internals? In a way that is good for people who can't upgrade each year, but also frustrating if yearly upgraders can't feel much of a difference.

I know what you mean, the 4S was my first iphone and i loved it... now when i see my girlfriends 4s i just think its really old and outdated haha... heavy as ***** too! To be honest the back of the iphone 5 was a selling point for me, be grudged putting a case on it cause i think the design is amazing!

Definitely no rattle (white 16GB). This is probably the best made phone I've ever had, perfect fit of parts, no marks or scratches, no rattles.

So my iPhone came from TMobile. They neglected to give me a sim card though. So I cant actually even activate it.

FFS

I didn't get a sim from T-Mobile either. I used the PDF template ( http://www.airportal.de/pdf ) and marked and cut my existing T-Mobile sim down. Works perfectly, even if a little scary as I had a micro sim with the extra contacts along the bottom that I had to cut through.

Well, I'm off to a 3 shop after I've obtained my PAC code from Vodafone. Speed test this morning recorded an epic 0.51mbps download speed.

Orange fail to deliver

Still same, no text, no message from Orange since order confirmation, they have taken £139 for the phone plus £50 extra (which I'll get back in 4 months apparently)

Not the best start to my new 2 years with Orange...

Yeah. Decided to give it a go, but was hesitant as I left to work not locally this morning so risked not having any phone at all. Worked fine and will find a T-Mobile store close by to go and rant at. Made me a little unsure that the pins touch the sim holder and wasn't sure if the liquid metal was conductive or not. Worked fine so will do for now.

Thanks for the link.

Bit of news from EE. Still no date though :(

Hmm, interesting the way they word the possibility of SIM only.

The only mention I've seen of SIM only in that quote is to tell people to sign up to Orange or T-Mobile on a SIM only deal if they have bought a SIM-free iPhone 5. However, that said, I doubt that if you've bought your phone outright elsewhere, you'll be paying as much as somebody who bought their phone on a contract with Orange or T-Mobile.

We won't know until they announce their tariffs.

yea i feel that the 5 feels better and lighter :) now got to ditch my 4S

i want a case, but don't want to cover the phone, i kinda want a bumper like with the 4/4S, not seen any though

So mine arrived yesterday. Everything looks good. I am doing the restore now which takes ages. Probably been at it an hour and a half already. I have backed up from my 4 and am now restoring from previous back up. Copying 38 of 338. Can't wait to start using it.
Good luck to all those who are still waiting for deliveries and bad luck to anybody who received a duff phone. Lets hope apples legendary customer service more than makes up for it.

After ordering my Black 32gb on wednesday from the carphone warehouse it arrived today. The box was bashed a bit which I was then not looking forward to see what the phone was like, but fortunately the phone is in pristine condition and is just an amazing device!! The obligatory can't believe and thin and light it is and siri is just amazing! Can't wait to play with it for the rest of the day! Is twitter working for anyone else on their iphone 5? Mine works on the 4 but not 5?

Went to Apple Covent Garden this morning. Massive queue waiting for store to open.

Asked if they have any cases or screen protectors for IP5. Was told not for three to four weeks. no accessories at all.

Feels a bit like a new pair of my favourite jeans to me.

Given the relatively low 8-12Mbps predicted speed of EE LTE, it'd be good if people could post their HSPA/HSPA+/DC-HSPA speeds. RamboRab's 14Mbps on T-Mobile isn't too shabby!

Mine is now shipped and due to arrive on Tuesday or earlier, instead if 01/10, orderd my case and screen protector, so hope it all arrives at once!!

Probably the best over-the-phone service I've ever experienced just now from O2 lol. Friendly bloke gave me the PAC code after admitting my new tariff on Three was really good, lol. Explained the 30-day period to me and that everything would be wiped. I assume since it's an iPhone there's nothing to worry about since contacts aren't held on SIMs anymore.

I'm only slightly worried about coverage in my house and the surrounding area lol. O2 have fantastic coverage but that's about it. Three have good overage at my college, where I am for 5 days a week, so not too worried!

You're not missing out on anything. Mine came yesterday and still hasnt been activated. Just called them up and said the estimated waiting time was 1 hour 15 minutes. Also had my SGP screen protector come in the post this morning and I managed to **** them both up. With virgin media being down in my area my iPhone 5 is nothing more than a glorified iPod. Starting to regret getting one altogether. More hassle than its worth.
