Sorry if this has already been discussed, did have a quick scan through and haven't seen it......
Basically my orange order tracking number won't work :'( just wondering what to do?! Cheers

yea i feel that the 5 feels better and lighter :) now got to ditch my 4S

i want a case, but don't want to cover the phone, i kinda want a bumper like with the 4/4S, not seen any though

Best to cover the back too, it scratches very very easily.

Just back from trip to Apple Store Exeter, Devon. They opened early at 8am, and had a small queue of scalpers. Anyway, they have plenty of stock of iPhone 5s which I was told would last all day. The store had no cases, but plenty micro USB adapters and lightning USB cables.

I would say there appeared no rush by normal customers. Also Exeter has all the phone shops and every one of them had stock too. Carphonewarehouse has 2 shops. Both had screen protectors and cases. Check both as they have slightly different range of cases. Also I found the other mobile phone shops has some other cases too plus screen protectors.

My wife and I looked at the white. I already have the black. We both felt the black was better colour, as the white is more silver than white.

Improved 3G speeds with iphone 5 (T-mobile UK)

I have noticed that i am getting above 5Mbps upward on speed tests on my iPhone 5, which is definitely faster than my iphone 4 could manage. I am on the full monty plan.

Has anyone else noticed improved speeds over 3g with their iphone 5's. Could this be because the phone is using HSPA+ or is it due to the processor?

Inspected my phone further in proper daylight today and i'm 98% content.

Spigen sgp ultra crystal showed up :)

Ditto. Just installed mine this morning. Now to find something for the back.

Could also be better antennas.

The closest thing i have seen is the Griffin Reveal, it's $19.99 from their site and is basically a bumper but with a clear backing to protect the back of the phone. So you can still see the back

I've got my 5, unlocked from Apple. Currently on an O2 30 day contract. (300mins 1Gb £25.00)
Now I'm getting pretty naff signal, especially at home. So looking at possibly switching. Voda's out of the question, was with them before and had no end I trouble.

I'm getting drawn to Three. There plans look good, and are certainly cheaper than what I'm paying now.

Also their speeds seem really good from posts in this thread. I tried Three a year ago with my 4S, and it was ok, should there be any improvement with Three on the 5 ?

Also, does tethering via Personal Hotspot work on Three? I want this do my iPad, and don't really want to lose it. It will be hard enough giving up VV!

Why not Orange or T-mobile and then you can get 4G with EE?

3 haven't confirmed when they'll implement their 4G with the spectrum they got from EE and that could be next year...

Yep - didn't work.

So now I am relying on Whats App haha. It was foolish of me to just chop away my sim (I know, I know) - but my nano sim from Voda should be arriving tomorrow. If not I am at the trafford centre tomorrow so I will be hopefully picking one up then.

But I wouldn't recommend it. Didn't work for me

I was just too impatient. Like a child at Christmas ha.

Oops! Didn't read this sensible advice before I got chopping. Can confirm Orange micro SIM To nano-SIM experiment didn't work (not for me anyway)

Yes, officially it only works with the One plan however I only have Ultimate Internet plan and it has tethering enabled

That's what I was holding out for, especially as I'm in Southampton. However reading the newer statement from them, it states 18-24 month contracts. I'd only plump for a 12 month at max.

Again, waiting to see what is officially offered, but the Three speeds in this thread seem pretty good for mobile usage. As I'm on a 30 day plan, it wouldn't really matter if I switched now, and again when EE went live.

Twitter

After ordering my Black 32gb on wednesday from the carphone warehouse it arrived today. The box was bashed a bit which I was then not looking forward to see what the phone was like, but fortunately the phone is in pristine condition and is just an amazing device!! The obligatory can't believe and thin and light it is and siri is just amazing! Can't wait to play with it for the rest of the day! Is twitter working for anyone else on their iphone 5? Mine works on the 4 but not 5?
I had an issue with Twitter. If you go to the Twitter site on your computer under the settings button they have various suggestions.
What worked for me was to delete the app and reinstall it on my phone.

SGP Are offering a back protector with the SGP Neo Hybrid Case, But It's not out yet :(

Mine says its coming by TNT, shipped this morning, if anyone is aware, when should I expect to see delivery details etc on the TNT website? Show nothing currently when I search my tracking number...

Thanks, but managed to get it sorted. The password on the iOS integration was wrong so that seemed to sort it.

if you restore from iCloud, you have to re-enter your passwords in the settings menu, i had to do it for twitter, FB, email, etc

My gf is also on Three, and has an iPhone 4. Her 3G speeds are a third of what I get on the 5. Personal hotspot works on Three, even though it's not supposed to. :p

Yeah. Decided to give it a go, but was hesitant as I left to work not locally this morning so risked not having any phone at all. Worked fine and will find a T-Mobile store close by to go and rant at. Made me a little unsure that the pins touch the sim holder and wasn't sure if the liquid metal was conductive or not. Worked fine so will do for now.

Thanks for the link.

Don't panic, only the middle of the sim is actually used now, have a look at the only part of the contacts actually connected to the IC from one I pulled apart earlier.

After my nightmare yesterday with turning up at Phones4U with a preorder and them not having any stock. The advice given to me last night by one of the store managers paid off.

I was told to wait until first thing tomorrow morning, ring the stores and pray there was one spare somewhere in Manchester. I rang as far away as Stockport and still had nothing. So I tried the T-Mobile store, on the off chance, in the city centre and literally as the guy answered, a customer had failed a credit check. I begged the rep to put it aside while I got there to which he said he'd hold it for an hour.

There was one particular hairy moment when I heard one of the sales reps say "I can't see this iPhone anywhere you know" but eventually it was unearthed.

After all that I can say it was definitely worth the wait, especially coming from a 3GS. I must say I've got a rattle towards the top end but can't decide if that's the lock button or the auto-focus thing people are mentioning. Either way, if it bothers me, I'll go to Apple for a replacement, what's the worst that can happen?

mine doesn't either. Orange told me 'be advised that some tracking orders aren't working yet on the uk mail site'. I think if you haven't got a text by now, it isn't going to arrive today. If you're in for a monday delivery you should get a text (from uk mail) by 8am monday morning. If mine hasn't come by then i'll be cancelling my order I think...

Woo! So much better than 02's speeds. I had trouble connecting to Three's 3G
Network so I phoned them after doing the online Nano Sim activation form , and all of a sudden whilst on the phone the 3G appeared on my iphone.

I have to say "Best customer service EVER!!!" I love Three!

Help! My phone has been on for 18 hours now and I'm still getting 'No service'. My old iphone 4 has also reverted to 'no service' so I have no phone.

I'm on 3 and the documentation with the nano sim said it's already activated. I've turned it off and on again a few times.

Anyone else unable to connect with Three?

I don't know if it will help anyone but I've just noticed my 32G(white) is preparing to ship and the original arrival date was the 1st October.

I ordered mine around 9:30/10am on launch day.

How long does it take to go to "shipped" and receive a tracking number from the preparing stage?

Thanks in advance.

Getting more tempted to try three with all the good reports. Out of curiosity, is it possible to get a PAYG nano sim in order to try it out at home before switching?
