Right fair enough. So where are orange and tmobile? They have the prices of course so just release them.

Where are the prices of 3, Vodafone, O2 and Tesco too? Not sure why you're singling out T-Mobile/Orange [EE] for criticism.

im currently on contract with orange already on a blackberry but hoping to preorder the iphone 5 tomorrow will i be able to just put my current contract in the iphone 5 if i buy an unlocked one from the apple website?

The prices between 32gb-64gb don't = £100.Why would 3 sell a £100 upgrade for less than £100?

You have to also consider the additional monthly charge * 24. Each is increasing by £72 by this alone over the course of the 24 month contract. The difference between the upfront cost of the 32-64GB is an extra £20, giving a total increase of £92 - almost the £100 difference between the phones.

Finally took the courage to leave GiffGaff after finding out they won't be supporting the iPhone 5 for a FEW MONTHS!!!
Nano-sim on '3' ordered with a very similar package to GiffGaff. Panic over. Now to get up early and purchase this bad boy!!!

Ill be leaving for orange, giffgaff have no excuse to not have nano sims ready before next friday.

Just nice that the other networks have lowered prices to be the same or similar to GG now.

Depends on the store.

I queued for the iPhone 4 at Manchester Arndale. Queued from about 3am and was sixth in line (although was first out of the store!)

I would say that by the time the doors opened at 7am (an hour earlier than scheduled!) there were roughly 100 people waiting. Seemed to have enough stock for everybody. I hear it was a similar story at the Trafford Centre.

So, all things being equal, you probably don't need to be there before 6am but the earlier the better. Nobody camped on this occasion, but we stood around chatting and doing our various bits and pieces. To be honest, we didn't even really form an orderly queue til there were around 20-30 people milling around.

Did you see the non pre-order list at about 12am, WOWAH!

Those do NOT look legit.

WAY too cheap, less than £900 over a 2 year contract for the 16gb? yeah right!

Why not? That's approx £400 gross profit over 2 years or £16 a month. I pay £20 a month on my SIM only One plan, not vastly different.

I've assumed the operators get no discount on purchasing the phone from the retail price, which is highly unlikely.

Interesting... 3's prices for the 4s, 64gb last i looked was 69 upfront, 33ppm, unlimited data, 5000 texts and 500 mins... So it could be true...

the name of the 4s contract was Ultimate Internet 500

Well there you go then.

If you want visual voicemail but are willing to wait until the middle of next year (probably) for 4G go for O2.

If you're willing to sacrifice visual voicemail but get 4G by Christmas, then go with Orange or T-Mobile (and migrate to EE when it becomes available!) I can't tell you whether you should go with Orange or T-Mobile as you'll gather from my previous post (just above.)

Thanks Garry - wasn't sure if O2 4G was going to be compatible with iP5

If my choice was narrowed between Orange and T-Mobile I would probably go for Orange to get my 15% staff discount (offered via my employer who is not Orange BTW!!)

I am going to order directly from Apple.

My one reservation is whether on launch of 4G, EE will offer a discount on the handset to those signing up a pay monthly contract, but will not offer a discount on the contract for those bringing their own device. In effect this would mean you would have paid over the odds for the handset if bringing it to a new contract.

Then again worst case scenario is stick with 3 and then get 4G next year.

I've never gone with three, so maybe they are normally like that. But they just look way off. O2 last year I believe charged £200+ for a 16gb on a ~£36/month contract.

Believe me, I HOPE that they are that cheap this time around... I just have doubts in my mind. I remember seeing the 64gb listed as high as £530 on some contracts lol.

Anyone reckon when we pre-order the iPhone from Apple if they give you a choice of carrier Nano Sim to be delivered with it? They do this for the 4S now and it would save me a journey to the O2 Store on launch day.

I assumed that the prices would be very similar the iPhone 4s plans on offer now? Certainly what I've based my decision to buy outright from apple on.

Would be nice to think they were cheaper tho, the upfront costs are too high when your paying for £35 a month for 2 years with them.

OK, so that's £1064 over the course of the contract. Compare with 3 - £943. 3 are £5 a month less.

But we can't really make these comparisons until we see the actual deals on offer :)

Yes! I hope they all upload them fast !! :) But something tells me maybe not tonight... :(

I have been with three since I have my iPhone4, but recently (about 2 months now) I have awful reception. Therefore I am reasonably happy to change phone and/or provider. The thing is, I usually only upgrade once the phone is done/dead/knackered as I don't need the hype of the new.

Is the 4g reception supposingly any better? I live in west London betweeen W12 and Heathrow airport, so not out in the country side, even that my current phone makes me feel so.

I wouldn't get the 5 solely on the basis of promised 4G. You're in (what should be) a decent spot for coverage, not far from 3 HO incidentally, but 3 probably won't be allowed to use their 1800 MHz spectrum until September 2013. By which time there will be a new iPhone.

Been the case since yesterday

Up until a few hours ago it was showing the price options, but the buy button showed as unavailable.

When I last checked it was showing the same page you land on when you click on iPhone 5 on the featured page.

Now it comes back with an error.
