I currently have a 12 Month Sim only contract with Orange, currently paying £10.50, for 300 Anytime Minutes, Unlimited Orange/T-Mobile Minutes, Unlimited Texts and 1.5GB Data U24 Orange deal.

Thanks for the info on the U24 Orange Deal, never knew about this. I'm going to get an addition 1GB tomorrow on my plan, hopefully all can be transferred (or a similar deal) with EE.

Quoted from BBC news

But if O2 and Vodafone wanted to persuade Ofcom to speed up the timetable for the auction, launching legal action was unlikely to help their case, said Mr Howett.

3 is the only other UK operator who has the opportunity to launch 4G services that will work with the new iPhone. It recently bought some of Everything Everywhere's 1800MHz spectrum although it is not allowed to launch services until September 2013.

"It may ask Ofcom to allow it to launch earlier," said Mr Howett.

A poll conducted by discount website MyVoucherCode found only a quarter of mobile phone users planned to upgrade to 4G "in the near future".

Most, 52%, said they would not switch until 4G was available on their current network, while 58% of those not interested in buying a 4G handset said it was because they did not think 4G service would be available in their location.

EE has promised 98% outdoor coverage for 4G by 2014. Vodafone told the BBC that by 2015 it aimed to offer 98% indoor coverage.

Was talking to the O2 Customer Service team about 4G...

Shannon Sloan: Have you any information about LTE or the wideband audio service on o2?
Archie: One moment please.
Archie: Thanks for waiting.
Archie: I've checked , its related to iphone 5, earlier iphone works on 3G while the new iphone has the capability for 4G which is twice faster than the 3g network.
Archie: So once the iphone 5 is launched, it 4G wil also put into service for better customer service.
Shannon Sloan: does o2 have 4G capability?
Archie: Yes, absolutely. it was earlier tried on some part our network however once the iphone 5 is out , it will be put into service for every part.

Interesting news! Also he ordered my new Nano Sim for me! :apple:

Think Ofcom might have something to say about that.

Is it 100% confirmed that it is an 8am launch? is there a chance it could be midnight here (like the iPad pre order?)

Well i technically pay 50p for all this, due to the 120£ cashback deal on quidco

I guarentee they have sent you a micro sim. Customer service have no clue of the difference. I had the same conversation a few times and had to spell it out to them with no avail.

guys are we sure that the preorders are going up for around 8am? I have saw some posts in other threads mentioning 3am but that sounds absolutely nuts...

If anyone is switching to Three, quidco and topcashback can save you a lot of money. My nano-sim is (apparently) coming tomorrow in the post; £6.90 a month for 200 mins, 5000 texts, 500mb. Then with £50 cashback, this works out to cost £2.73 a month. Great deal.

Should of checked quidco last month, i pay 50p a month, for unlimited texts, 500mb and 300 anytime minutes, but with the U24 i get 1.5GB and Unlimited Orange/T-Mobile calls

From a load perspective you'd think they would stagger the preorder times around the globe so doing it at 8 seems strange choice if it is to coincide with the US start.

Oh. Just looking on quidco's website, it seems that the £120 cashback is "for 24 month pay monthly contracts costing £36+ per month", but you can get £50 cashback "for £10.50 per month SIM Only 12 month contracts". So has it changed or is it wrong?

is that a contract or pay as you go? Do you have to pay the £6.90 each month?

Could you aware me on this please?

I currently have a 12 Month Sim only contract with Orange, currently paying £10.50, for 300 Anytime Minutes, Unlimited Orange/T-Mobile Minutes, Unlimited Texts and 1.5GB Data U24 Orange deal.

Now, I will probably buy the iPhone 5 Sim Only, but if EE converge Orange and T-Mobile, will my 4G be enabled on the Nano Sim, or are they even doing EE/Orange Sim free phones.

I would rather buy an iPhone via CC, pay £30 a month, then pay £36 + £200 upfront fee for 2 years.

Holy smokes! That U24 is new to me (and everyone I just told about it!!).

Though how did you get the £10.50 a month + U24? It says for contracts above £15pm?

Might switch to Orange because of this though!
