Fuming at Orange

Just got off the phone with orange again, this time they're saying they don't have a phone for me in stock, it will be a couple of weeks... WHAT?!?!:mad::mad:

I'm now glad I bought an iPhone 5 from in store now. My online order changed this morning to estimated delivery by end of 25/9. So looks like UPS cannot even keep up with the zone 2 deliveries.

Orange order cancelled. They do not deserve to have over a grand of my money after this weeks shambles of a customer service performance.

Shocking.

I will give some thought to what is next, but I am certainly leaving orange. These Three deals look pretty good.

Next up will be unlocking my phone from Orange and movign with my and my wife's phone numbers.

I got one for tomorrow London Brent Cross 16GB Black

Damn, I wish I had known about this before. I just made a reservation for brent cross too, hoping I get a response before I leave work today.

I already preordered one on the 15th September for a 3rd to 9th October delivery, but as I'm currently without phone as I sold my iPhone 4 last week, I desperately need its replacement. I thought, due to the preordering fiasco there would'nt be any supplies around for weeks...indicated by the 3-4weeks wait shown online. Seems like the preordering was a waste of time if you didn't place the order on the 14th. I definitely weren't going to queue outside an apple store though.

is the return period the same in store as it is online? meaning is it 7 days return policy in store and 14-28 days online i.e distant selling act?

Success with SIM-only reservation at Apple Stores?

Has anyone had any success with SIM-only Apple Store reservation orders for iPhone 5s recently? especially in London?

I did the walk around at the weekend and the Apple Stores had stock but were not selling SIM free, only on contract. They recommended using the 'reservation request' at www.apple.com/uk/retail/iphone - I've tried it the last two days over 3 different stores with no sucess.

Am I wasting my time?

thanks!

Mine did exactly the same this morning. Emailed UPS to ask why? Going to email Apple later

waiting for a manager to call me back, ordered with t-mobile instead to get unlimited data and for £5 less, wish I'd done that in the first place, would have had my phone 3 days ago!

I should have pre-ordered with Apple. I was reasonably happy to stay with Orange before this. Now they have pissed me off to the point that I would rather wait a couple of months for my new phone than stay with them.

Spoke to Apple regarding the damaged phone (on hold for 30 mins!) and after that they advised me to go direct to Orange so waiting to hear from them.

Unless Apple sort out their delivery couriers, I will avoid ordering future iPhones on launch day and just reserve at the Apple store.

Definitely. I could've have walked in and bought one in the Aberdeen Apple store on Saturday with no issues

Edit: Have faith. Mine has just arrived despite the saying it had slipped until Tuesday!
