Me too. Was 1/10 but got an SMS in the last half hour. They must have got a batch in.

Getting mine tomorrow.

Nice :) I wish I could book it for tomorrow but alas, I'm working until midday. And it needs a signature sooo :/ Too risky. Thursday I'll be home all day.

Shall be filming the unboxing (Sad I know, but if there are scuffs, I want a safetynet) when it arrives.

If it is being delivered by DPD then they will give you a 1 hour slot - if the slot is no good for you then you have the option of postponing the delivery via text message.

Brilliant..after being let down by Orange on Friday I now have a 64gb phone and new 24 month contract on the way. Only problem is I already have these two items via o2. I can just send back the phone and cancel right???

Ah yeah, I noticed the slot thing. It instructed me that I'd be given my slot in the morning though, and I'll be at work when they text/email me with it. Chances are I wont be free tomorrow until 2pm at the earliest.

Will have it on Thursday so its smooth sailing :)

CPW Preorder Free Accessory Bundle

Has anyone who preordered their iPhone 5 on Friday 14th and were offered a free accessory bundle (screen protector, case and in car holder worth £37.97) received it yet? I remember it said it could arrive up to 10 days in a separate package after the iPhone 5 arrives but was just wondering if anyone had received it yet?

Cheers.

I didn't have that on my text but there was a number. Do you have to use that number on the DPD website to get it?

They sent me a text and an email at the same time. The text only mentioned the delivery day, but the email also included information about the "one hour delivery timeslot" which would be given to me on the morning of the delivery day.

There was then a link to click, so I could track my parcel.

Edit: Yeah the number they text you with is the tracking no#

Yep. Most carriers have a 7 day returns period on new contracts.

Ah right. Haven't received an email just a text message :(

Go to DPD's website, input your tracking number (one from the text) and it should give you some changeable options etc :)

Just as I typed that last message the email came in. Useful that it's a 1hr timeslot.

Happy days. Just hope it's in perfect working order.

A question for anyone, when I get the phone tomorrow I have a PAC from O2 to transfer my number to 3, however I am leaving the UK for Madrid about lunchtime on Thursday. Am I ok calling 3 tomorrow with code to port number or am I safer waiting until I'm back from Spain on Tuesday?

Sweet, good luck! Haha. If I get a scuffed version, then you'll probably see me ranting in the 'black version scuffs' thread :p

As for the PAC transfer. I'd call them tomorrow, once your iPhone 5 is set up, and ask them if its a good time to do it, or if its worth waiting until next week. I reckon they'd know which would work best!

great to hear that you was successful in getting an iPhone 5 mate. Good stuff.

Since I emailed T Mobile last night, surprise surprise, I've not heard a thing back from them. They are so useless its untrue. Ive never in my life come across a company as poor as them when it comes to dealing with their customers. How did you go about cancelling your order? did you phone them?

If worst comes to worst and I cant get hold of them to cancel my order, ill just keep it running, go into an Apple store to get my new contract and when the T Mobile one does arrive, just send it back. I don't want to do it that way but i might not have a choice due to how incompetent they are.

It was weird, I didn't fully cancel the order. I just went in and maybe because I had so many complaints about this issue on the system, it wasn't going through at first. He said for me to call them, I called tmobile while I was in the store and just told the lady I'm instore at the moment and managed to source a phone and I want to upgrade instore. She said ok, I said do I have to cancel the order and she didn't really answer.

Yeah absolutely you could do it the way you said. I was going to do that should worse come to worst. Apple employees are used to tmobile being the most awkward contracts to set up from the impression I got the guy serving me was very patient. So hats off to Apple for that.

Bloody T Mobile are a joke lol.

Glad you got it sorted mate. Ive decided that if I don't receive an email from them tomorrow, I'm phoning them up and giving them a piece of my mind. After how I've been treated by T Mobile, I'm starting to think that when I go to the Apple store to get my new contract, I should go with someone else but the reason why I decided to go with them was because they are reasonably priced and the whole 4G 'EE' stuff.

Its ridiculous that Orange are sort of the same company as T Mobile, yet their prices are so much more expensive.

Orange customer service are the worst of the entire lot.

Finally got around to ordering my iPhone 5 today, early upgrade from 3, waited until to day to drop down my early upgrade fee, not going to be delivered until the 17th October now though.
This has already been a pretty expensive month for me (car service, mot, tyres, tax etc), adding on the cost of this too, I hope it's worth it.

Having ordered my 32 GB White model a few days ago from O2 I was most surprised when it turned up today, especially as they said at the time of ordering it would be about three weeks.

Nice surprise anyway.

That date is likely do go down but what a lot of people have been saying. It seems Apple are fulfilling orders quicker than first expected.

I wouldn't say that... my order status with Apple is still processing after preordering on the 15th, showing delivery 3rd - 9th October.

I think only contract buyers are having better luck. Plus I'm getting no where with the reservation at my local Apple stores. I guess I'll just have to accept I will not get it any sooner then expected.:(

I gave up on this online reservation crap and just ordered a sim free version online.

Estimated delivery 18th-24th October :(

You may be glad you did as you have more chance of getting one from a new batch !

I was thinking of ordering one last night. Did your credit or debit card get charged straight away ?

It does seem a long time to wait but some people are reporting that they got theirs quicker than the quoted del date !

The one thing that' puts me off is the issue with out of the box cosmetic issues and then having to send it back after waiting so long !

Wonder if one could just make an appointment at a Genius Bar to swap it out even it its been bought on the apple store online ?

Obviously it could ok too. Just looking at the worst case scenario !

Same situation in my experience of the stores in the north east of England. This makes me wonder what the ratio of locked:unlocked phones Apple produce is, or whether unlocked phones are really just that popular this year.

Made applications to reserve white and black iPhones in two stores near where I live, if one of them is successful I'll just cancelled the others, that's possible right?

They are all produced unlocked and they get sim locked to carrier/network upon activation. They must just have a quota to meet as a business as they make little profit from sim free but increased revenue from connecting to a network.

When you think a out it of course they love their presence on the high street with a ratio of 1:3 iPhones but they will also want to dominate the contract market too as most sim free end up being used with sim only, giff gaff etc

i asked on the online chat person about billing and they advised I only get charged when the phone ships. If they charge me now, obviously I will call them and shout at someone.

I didnt order online originally as no one is at home during day hours but the website says they SMS/Email you when the item is dispatched so hopefully that will work out for me.

I have just received a text from Uk Mail saying my parcel is out for delivery today.

I ordered online on the 15/9 as a new customer with Orange. White 32gb. I haven't heard a word from them since the order went through other than 2 auto-reply emails.

Great way to welcome a new customer guys
