Another day, another six (most likely unsuccessful) reservation attempts...

I've made 3, all at different stores, for contract phones and all at 9am. I'd be surprised if i get an email this evening.

I ordered at three stores under two names for a sim free phone, trying to hedge my bets, still not hopeful. Best of luck to you anyway!

looks like there is going to be a delay to EE's roll out of 4G in the UK until next year.

lol at the people who signed up to Orange/T-mobile to get 4G.

where does it say there is a delay on EE? it wasn't coming to my city this year anyay hense why i stuck with vodafone.

Take it to the apple store in mint condition (other than dints) and they will replace it on the spot.

truied that this morning, and they said sorry but no, you have to send it back to Orange as its a different stock pile. Plus they were sold out anyway.

very annoyed.

So great news my iphone 5 arrived today, so quite a quick turnaround with 11 days from the date of 1st preorders.

Bad news is that it arrived damaged!!!!!

I have 1 chip on the corner, and 2 dents on the ridge of the frame, called orange and it seems I'm the 1st person to get a damaged iphone5, wow. Now I have to send it back to them and wait for a replacement!

Could I take it straight to an Apple store and get a replacement there in the shop?

I'm reading more and more posts on where apple have told the person to seek redress from the place they bought it from !

It's a separate channel of products and stock. I can't easily return a product that I've bought online with an Apple store.

Spent 45 minutes on the phone to T-Mobile yesterday. Takes 14 days for them to refund an order that I cancelled 4 hours after ordering.

Pre-ordered with Orange about 9am on the Saturday after pre-orders (15th) and just got my text saying my phone is out for delivery :)

Bad news is no one is likely to be in today until 2pm :(

Really, god forbid anyone who's bought a damaged iPhone from Tesco then... I remember two years ago when I bought a faulty contracted iPhone 4 through them... common logic told me to ring TESCO straight away and arrange a return (which I did), what I thought would be a quick and simple door step return/exchange turned out to be a whole MONTH of delay and many angry and frustrated phone conversations to the tesco customer services to get them to send me a new phone.

Bare in mind, I had to return the damaged iPhone by the jiffy bag they send out days later... wait for them to acknowledge receipt, then get their repair centre to verify the fault, then apparently they send it back to Apple... and all this has to be done before they could send me out a replacement iPhone  to me thats bad customer service, to leave me without phone for a whole month!

Plus they still tried to bill me for that month where I had no phone!...the cheek of it!

I was going to hold off buying the iPhone that was until my iPhone 4 died yesterday and now I'm having to use a blackberry which is driving me mad.
Been trying to reserve a 32Gb black unlocked phone at both Solihull and the Bullring but with no luck so far.
Was told over the phone by Solihull that they do have stock of iPhone 5's but only to those who reserve.
My only worry is getting one which is damaged from the box and having to mess around and wait for another unit. Was also thinking about just ordering one from the apple store online to save any journeys to the retail stores.

UK London Apple Stores stock

Hey,

I waited for the reviews and 'gate' issues (scuffgate seems a bit straw clutching!) before deciding to make the jump to an iPhone 5. I'm obviously now sold!

However, being late to the party means that there's a longer queue to get in...!

So does anyone know of any Apple stores in London that have stock of a 32Gb Black? I'm looking to go Sim Free.

I've been reserving everyday on the Apple site, but not getting any pick-up email. Before I aimlessly wander around, I thought I'd ask here first if anyone has had any luck.

Thanks! :)

Made multi reservations again at 9am at Apple Trafford Center, Arndale in Manchester & Liverpool, like I've been doing for the last 4 days or so! For the 32gb black sim free! But I doubt it will get any luck!

Also rang Apple @ Trafford Center about the reservations and was told there might be people before me in the que that's why I'm having no luck!

Also told them that I might get a galaxy s3 if I don't get one today but that didn't work either! Lol

So, the wait continues!

I made reservations for manchester arndale and Trafford yesterday and managed to get confirmation to come in today for both stores, but that being for an upgrade on orange. Granted I couldn't do anything about it after calling orange and telling them I was going to upgrade in the apple store instead was told everything had been processed already, but yet still waiting for delivery and I Pre-ordered mine on the 14th! I literally give up. It'll come when it comes, orange CS are useless and I ain't wasting another minute on the phone to them.

So it's purely a case of 'if we can't have it, we don't want you to either.'

These companies often act like children in a playground, but this is big business and from a business perspective you can't really blame them.

For a consumer perspective, it would be nice to have it today. But a monopoly is not good for anyone.

As much as these greedy corporations annoy me, I can kind if see where they are coming from.

It's OFCOM who need to pull their finger out off their ass.

How did you iPhone 4 die? I'm still using my iPhone 3G. Works perfectly! Coming to 4 years old.

Hi, are these Apple stores in London? Seeing reports of people not having much luck with reserving but I'm hoping that the London flagships like Regent's St and Cov Garden will have much more stock that the smaller Apple stores around the UK.

Its seems they do have some stock (can't confirm 32GB in black) but it seems that these are allocated (or thats what they'll say) for contract only. As I mentioned in a previous post, on launch day I went to the Regent St store around 5pm and said "I assumed you've sold out already" and they said yes if you want a Sim free phone but we have stock if you want it on a contract. If your in London and have time to spare then it couldn't hurt to have a tour of the Apple stores and see if anyone has any sim free 32GB in stock.

Yeah, I phoned Apple first who told me to go to Orange. Orange are sending me a replacement (first one has minor damage and rattles) when they get stock, and I will send the faulty one to them. I'm hoping they never get in touch so then I'll have one to sell :p

Hi guys,

I ordered the 16GB black from T-Mobile on Sunday evening (23rd), and have passed all their checks. I'm wondering if anyone's received their iPhone yet from that date? I've not received a text or anything...

I killed it. I travel a lot and admittedly had never looked after it much in the two years I had it. I replaced the battery and loudspeaker last week and tried to replace the earpiece speaker yesterday. It did not go well :S

Help! My phone has been on for 18 hours now and I'm still getting 'No service'. My old iphone 4 has also reverted to 'no service' so I have no phone.

I'm on 3 and the documentation with the nano sim said it's already activated. I've turned it off and on again a few times.

Anyone else unable to connect with Three?

Give CS a call? If you have no working phone, that's a pretty serious problem in my eyes.
