Hi guys,
I have problem.
I live in Sawston, Cambridgeshire.
My college is in Cambridge so everyday I go there.
In my town I don't really need LTE or 4G, just because I just live there, I don't hang out here. At home I have 30down and 5up so that's not the case, it's all about Cambridge.
I currently have Three (3) with my iPad and iPhone. I don't carry my iPad, but I get just 3G her in Sawston, and in Cambridge it seems that Three don't work in those speeds.
So, what should I do in your opinion? Go T-Mobile and then switch to EE when it comes out or what?
Thanks!

There seems to be both 32GB and 64GB black/white in stock in most CarphoneWareHouse stores in central London according to their website.

I'm giving up on Vodafone (says shipped on Monday but will not give a tracking no) and going buy a sim free one there.

If your happy with 3 stick with them, i do believe they have bought some 4g airtime anyway so will no doubt roll that out next year but really, no need to leave 3 when you have decent speeds. i suspect EE will have high monthly charges anyway? I used to live and work sawston (well Duxford......close enough! ;) )

How can I be happy if I'm right now at my college with 3 bars and I get just 0.5 / 0.5...
I don't want to renew contract for another two years and then get news that some carrier rolls out 4G / LTE by start of next year. I know that Three will be last to support anything here in Cambridgeshire, that's why I'm asking!

So....after all the issues with T Mobile last night, I recieved a text this morning saying that my phone is out for delivery today. Bloody typical as I'm in London all day so ill miss it.

Does UK Mail have local depots where you can pick up undelivered parcels from?

Indeed, most of it is down to how well the operators deals with you, most of it is down to training really, or lack of it.

Anyhoo I'm glad I'm swapping from O2, mainly because of the LTE issue when it does start rolling out on other networks people will be pissed off once they realise the current iPhone 5 is on the wrong frequency. Also unlimited data on the data hungry phone will be handy. I called t-mobile yesterday had a nice chat with a sales rep, phones ordered. I like the fact you get a direct line number for your rep which O2 never did. £30 per month, unlimited everything.

Now I just need to prise all the PAC numbers off O2....joy another 40 minute wait :(

All the best mate and hopefully you'll get a better service now. Keep us posted.

You have to deal with o2 directly and not Apple. The only way Apple will sort it out for you is if you buy your contract from an Apple store. With regards to getting a new one straight away, it all depends on stock. If they have stock then the chances are you will get a replacement sent out to you quickly but with stocks so low at the moment, I would expect some sort of wait if I were you.

Had vodafone 16gb black with iffy screen
Went to apple who swapped it for me

Orange Customers

I've got a status of 'Collected' at 0951hrs this morning.....with delivery date of tomorrow.......

Whats the experience of others - are they managing to collect one day and deliver the next ?

No txt message - nothing.

I'm one of the 5000 Orange customers they offered the additional £30 upgrade to 64gb white.....and guaranteed delivery last Saturday....

I got a text this morning "Your Orange order 309********** has been scanned onto the delivery van for delivery today. To track your order please visit www.ukmail.com"

But when I track it online it says its still at the delivery location (depot)

Latest update shows "At Delivery Location"......which is interesting.....I've looked down the drive and its not sitting there........that was at 0603hrs - presumably when the driver picked up his load ?

This is going to be a bloody nightmare - the wife will be out taking our boy to school and walking the dog and then the delivery driver will turn up.......if they'd texted we might have SOME idea !

This means its at the delivery warehouse. When it's on it's way to you it will say "out for delivery"

Got my 64GB Black delivered from 3 about 5pm last night. Have to say on the Device hardware I'm delighted. Slight glint of raw aluminium around the SIM card entrance but I'm not OCD enough to let it bother me. Other than the device is perfect. I've never used a case in an iPhone to this point and i don't see that changing. I generally take care of them and have it in a front pocket with nothing else.

So glad I went for the black despite the numerous threads on scuffs. A colleague has the white and while its a lot nicer in the hand than the photos suggested, the black in my opinion is just so classy.

One issue I have had is with the wifi being very slow or not working where my 4 in the same hotspot was totally fine, but I did a restore network settings and that seems to have resolved the issue for now at least.

As for 3 speeds I have Unfortunately seen nothing like what others have the max I have seen in the middle of a town is 3.5mbps down. At heathrow just now and getting 2 only.
I wonder where you have to be to get the 10+ lol.

I've also been having intermittent wifi problems with mine.

I have a Genius appointment tonight, although typically it's working fine at the moment. I kept screen grabs of three of the tests I ran (to demonstrate time and that I was using the same Speedtest server) and I also have a list of the other results from around the same time.

Carphone Warehouse do unlocked iPhones??? Is this true?

If so, my dozens of reservation requests are for nothing :D

Guys finally got my iPhone white 16gb from orange.

Love it, no scratches, but I did notice when entering my password it is a bit glitchy, but I'm sure a software update will fix this.

Happy days! :)

Thought I'd pop into Carphone warehouse to have a butchers. Didn't realise they're not on sale outside the Apple stores till next week. They did have a demo model that one of them was walking around with. I was only really interested in seeing how it looked and felt with the new size. I don't like it. If they were going to resize it I think they aught to have given it a bit of extra widith as well or instead of height because we read text going horizontal so need more extra space going that way esp. as, from what I can tell, both Safari and Chrome apps don't have text flow which Android does and is along with that Yellow 'Other' stuff clogging up my memory the only thing I've not liked about my iphone so far. I've always though the iphone up to iphone 4 s was the optimum size for a mobile in regards to it feeeling comfortable in your hand and fitting in your pocket so I'm hoping they revert back to the old size by the time I want to upgrade.

If they will sell you one? Online sure you can buy sim free but rang CPW yesterday and one iPhone 5 in stock. Wouldn't accept my 700 quid for it. Said they only do contracts in store. Not to mention you pay full price for sim free but it will lock to the network of the sim that first gets inserted. Yes. Full price, sim free but they will lock. I gave up and will just wait a month from apple. At least it will be fully unlocked.

Mine said this all day yesterday, even after it was delivered at 16:15

Unlocked until you insert first SIM card and then it locks to that provider. Even though you pay full price. I'm sticking with Apple.

It says in the small print on the site.

After reserving for 4 days with apple i went to carphonewarehouse this morning and walked out with a 32gb white.

I can not see this bit about the SIM free phone locking on CPW is it not on the mobile site
