UK iPhone 5 thread

Nobody knows at the minute. The page could go up again tomorrow, I might not come back on for days. As others have suggested in the thread, Tuesday could be a likely date as it seems the Apple Stores don't take deliveries on Sundays, so there might be shipments arriving to stores on Monday which could remedy the "Limited availability" but don't quote me on that. Anything sim free is going to be difficult to get a hold of it seems.
Has anyone been to any stores over the weekend, what were stock levels like in general?
Meadowhall have nothing sim only.
Theres bits and bobs if you're not bothered about sim only - head to tmobile, carphone, other network stores etc, theres dribs and drabs about.

Just remembered Apple saying delivery is like 3-5 days. The fact that our order hasn't even gone to 'preparing to ship' let alone 'shipped' worries me that me might get it LATE this week
Wow, looks like they weren't kidding when they said "limited availability" then.
No doubt, was soo pissed when they told me. Just hit me about the scale of demand.

I don't see how people with delivery on the 1st of october got theirs on the 24th and its now almost a week later and we havent got ours! WTH!
Guess it all depends when the UK gets a shipment. My guess is that the shelves are bare at Apple HQ and they're waiting for a big delivery from China. Whether its due to unprecedented demand or supply chain issues is anyone's guess.
From the evidence of those awaiting pre-orders, it seems like there could be a major hiccup in supply.
Good luck to those wanting to reserve tomorrow. I can't sadly, as I won't be near an Apple Store until Thursday.
I've been trying to reserve an unlocked iPhone for a while at both Birmingham and Solihull but to no avail.
I seen that it's no longer possible to reserve online so I called both stores up and they are completely out of unlocked iPhones 5's of every capacity and colour.
Will just keep waiting on my order through Apple online store.

I've just ordered a white 32gb iphone 5 from Apple yesterday and the estimated dispatch is 3 to 4 weeks. I'm just wondering whether Apple usually ships right on schedule(3 to 4 weeks in this case) or are they playing it safe and it's likely to be shipped earlier? Coz I just figured I will be away in 4 week's time so I'm a bit nervous now

I think its just a rough estimation mate but its likely it will be around that timeframe. You might get lucky though as some people have received theirs earlier than first expected.

your not the only one, my white 32gb is estimate 22-26th October, which is about 4 weeks from my ordering it. Mind you I have had a black since release, just sent it back after a week as I prefer the white. So I have had the 'play' factor so am more relaxed!

Im sure you wont be waiting long dude. I ordered the 32GB black one which is super popular and I still received it that quick which is a good sign.
I'm checking it a few times a day but even when it was up I was unsuccessful 4 times !
