I think the problem may be as much Yodel as CPW .. I had this exact message with a yodel order a couple of months ago as yodel had 'lost' the item! .. In the end the only thing the company sending the item could do was send out a new one!!

Hope you can get it sorted soon! .. sooooooo frustrating!!!
 
Slipping delivery?

This morning my status has gone from "Delivers 2-8th October" to "Shipping October"

Sounds ominous and doesn't look like it will arrive, let alone be dispatched, in the next week. :mad:

The Bath Southgate store told me that they may have more stock in sometime between tomorrow and up to three weeks time.

Still waiting on my orange upgrade which I Pre-ordered on the 14th, and have been on the phone to them everyday last week and was guaranteed by several members of their team it would be here today. Just called them again and they said the phone has been sent out to UKmail, but there's no information on delivery as of yet. So angry with orange.
 
Anybody know if there's stock at the Apple store in the Bullring?

Looking for a sim free Black 16GB but can never get through on the phones
 
Is this the first time Apple are refusing to sell stock saying they are for contract only? I don't remember hearing this before. If so, why are they doing it? It doesn't make sense to have phones just sitting there when they could be flying off the shelves, after all they are exactly the same phones, unlocked. I know this is true as I was lucky enough to find a sympathetic manager who sold me one off contract.

I have a new monthly rolling contract with Three which I started to pay on the 20 Sep (in anticipation of getting my iPhone5) delivered on the 21/9 and haven't been able use...so hopefully it won't slip to end of Oct :(

You will always get a dispatched email at least 1 day before the phones arrive. You might even receive the pdf invoice beforehand. You will also be allocated a UPS tracking number as well.

In other words - if you follow up, the phone can not just arrive without any notice.

What's your experience of AppleCare?

Are they relaxed about resolving things like wobbling buttons, buttons not working, anything else? How difficult is it to get a swap if you feel it's required?

Uh oh.. That doesn't sound good.

When did you place the order? and what model?

It says in the AppleCare terms and conditions that within 1 year of purchase, any manufacturer defect will be issued a replacement if it cannot be repaired at the Genius bar.

So something like wobbling buttons etc. falls under build quality so you should just be able to walk in a swap it out, providing it's within 1 year of purchase.

You have about as much chance as winning the lottery. Read through this and other threads about availability.

They want me to wait 3 days before they can 'offer' me options
 
Anyone else getting vastly improved download & upload speeds on Orange? I got 12.83 Mbps down and 2.85Mbps up, and have been seeing 8-9mbos down in a number of locations. I guess the ariel makes a big difference vs the 3GS.

With all due respect, this thread has 403 replies :p I know availability is scarce but it's easier to ask about a certain shop than read hundreds of pages.

My girlfriend got her 16GB Black from Orange on Sunday, they had a fair few in stock as well.

I'm in the exact same situation as you! Even more frustrating is the fact that i had no money on the 14th so I order on my dad's account and apple wont talk to me! D:

Your girlfriend got a sim free unlocked iPhone 5 16GB from an Orange shop?

More likely it was network locked contract stock, you might want to try it with a Voda or O2 sim to check, there is still a fair amount of contract stock around, it's the unlocked sim free stock that has become as rare as rocking horse droppings.

Still no status change with my order for 64gb white. I am very impatient but nothing we can do about it other than sit it out!! It won.t stop me from checking the order stats evey hour though!!

That may well have been what I should have quoted, had I known.

Also, After inserting my 3 sim card, a day later I put in my friends o2 sim - and it worked.
