The Americans are definitely getting preferential treatment when it comes to their shipping dates. So many posts of them getting pushed forward, and not a post about anyone in the UK getting it sooner.

So for online iPhone reservations, you will only get the email at night (before 9pm) and not earlier during the day if successful?

Correct as they wait until the cutoff time and then figure out how many are available and randomly choose that number of people and email them. It's not first come first served all people who are successful get chosen at the end of the day

Sorry chaps! Mine also is STILL PROCESSING :(

I was bored in the office and thought I would stir up this discussion :p

Really upset that it seems like it won't update until tomorrow

That was a bit mean:confused: I thought we were in with a chance when I read your post!

Excellent reporting by the BBC  In one 3 line paragraph, they make two mistakes.

BBC said:
The service will run on its 1800MHz spectrum, a band not owned by either O2 or Vodafone. Three is also set to take ownership of some of EE's existing 4G-spectrum, but will not do so until September 2013.

O2 and Vodafone do own 1800MHz spectrum, just not enough for LTE services. They use it to provide in-fill coverage in towns and cities on their GSM network.

Three have taken control of some of EE's spectrum which is being used for GSM, not 4G. All of the 1800MHz spectrum was originally intended for use by GSM networks. The delay in taking over that spectrum is the time it takes for EE to replan the radio frequencies to free up the spectrum being used by the GSM network to let Three gain access to it.

Not sure if allowed to sell via MR (please delete and forgive if not) but I have a 16gb White I got from CPWH on contract - it will lock to whatever network sim you put in it. It's sealed still - was going to take to CEX tomorrow however if anyone here wants it and will match the CEX cash value (£552), and is happy to meet in St Albans or the Angel / Islington / Kings Cross area of London tomorrow I'd be happy to sell to them. I would rather sell to someone here than a company that will sell for £650!

This is still available, I didn't make it to CEX today!

Lots of outlets near me that have one nor more of the different models and colours of the iPhone 5 in stock

Issue is they are reserved for contract or upgrading customers.

I want one on pay as u go or sim free !

So far I've tried 3 times today being the 4th to reserve one ! Sigh.
