Really? I was under the impression it gets sent from China. The stock is already available in the UK for it to ship?
Just have some patience! You don't have to have it right this very second. You're in a "queue" so just wait.
The stock ships from China to a central location in the UK. It then gets picked up by the courier company from there, at which point your tracking number should start to work. This will be happening constantly. At the central distribution point, stock gets sent out to the shops, networks, etc.
It's only the US that ships directly from China to the end user, I don't understand why they do it this way.
I don't understand your point. Vodafone will have received their allocation from Apple and can ship out to their customers. You've ordered via the Apple website yes? So why are you getting angry about what Vodafone are doing with their allocation?
ordered iphone 5 28th sept and estimate delivery dates are between 23rd oct - 29th oct. but thats way too long!
Ive tried reserving in numerous stores but i was wondering if i do get a reservation and cancel my order will apple give my money back stragiht away because I checked and Im already 529 quid short, and if i do get a reservation ill have no money to buy it after all that

By the time your credit card statement is due Apple will have already refunded you.
CPWH have updated their site. It gives 5-7 day delivery estimate for Black 32gb now. Cross fingers it means mine will be here soon!

If u don't have another £530 available on your credit card then a refund typically takes 7-14 days to show back to use.
This is the 5th time I've tried the reservation process and am hoping I get lucky tonight.

Well I got a reply via email - apparantly it will be delivered by or before 10th Oct.
My guess is that it will be next week.
CPW don't sell sim free. (The closest to sim free they currently sell is the locked contract free 64GB).
But if you happen to be on O2 they do free unlocking for those on contract. Did it my wife's, very painless and quick.
Is there any information or rumors about o2 shop stock levels? I check the online stock checker and it is always empty which is fair enough it is a popular device and only just come out....do people have any idea as to how often stock is delivered etc
No luck for me either, I've been trying since the reservation site went live. I've tried for Black & White in 16/32 and not gotten anything. I saw one person on this site managed to get a White 16GB, can't remember if it was Eldon Square or Metro though.
If you mean an iPhone 5, you were extremely lucky.
O2 have a current policy of no iPhone 5 unlocking.

Same here. Ive been trying since it went live and had no luck with Eldon Square or the Metro Centre store.
EE launch their LTE network on the 30th October. No news on tariffs at present.
