UK iPhone 5 thread

We didn't start getting reports in this thread tip gone half 8 last night I believe.

I'm still hoping.....

I've put lots in today, but 1 per store anywhere remotely near me. Tomorrow I might try the single go option.

yup just noticed in the other spammy uk reservations thread that someone has had a reply today.

Pah... another wasted day, and another day with my Orange SPV E100 (look it up - Microsoft Smartphone 2002 brap brap)
 
wondering anyone has got a black 32GB through reservations over the last few days. People posting here and on other forums who've been successful all seem to have white ones..

aaahhh I got a reservation. i cancelled my online order, gonna let my dad pay. then pay him when apple gives my money back.
 
Well today i reserved a white 32gb Sim free in Blue water, hopefully will get it :S. The S3 is a fine phone but android is just dreadful, I've had crashes, phone restarting, phone turning on my music in the middle of a lecture, Music keeps crashing, the internet browser keeps going to landscape at portrait, The ecosystem isn't as nice and i miss iOS. Yesterday I tried for the black 32gb but no luck so hoping for white :).
Also does anyone know how to get a Nano SIM for orange existing customers?
 
anyone had any luck with the Apple store at the grand arcade in cambridge?

how is it looking for walk ins or is it still massively in demand everywhere?
 
I dont know if they do, coz when I checked my account the money wasnt there after ordering. Ill check tomorrow morning to see if it appears in my balance, if not ill pay my dad later.

My suspicion as to those who have got reservations are they tried less popular devices (16GB, 64GB) in less popular colours (White) at stores who received more stock.

I think you are wrong on 2 points, Apple will care, they hate losing control and will see the people trying to reserve 15-20 handsets as people trying to buy to eBay or send abroad.

If they didn't care there wouldn't be a 2 per customer limit with Apple.

And with regards to popularity, with most people, the 16GB will be the most popular (look which phones have the longest delay with Apple and CarPhoneWarehouse online). Even on launch day, there were far more 16GB's than the others and they went through the little cards for the 16GBs far quicker than the others.

They might have reserved the money with the bank, it's still in the account, just held for Apple if they have it takes a few days to be released though.
 
Looks like no reservation for me today:(

Oh what to do, go with CPW for next day delivery or stick it out with Apple.
 
My order has now changed, previously it just said 'October'. It now says:

Delivers 09 Oct, 2012 - 15 Oct, 2012 via Standard

Hopefully it will come closer to 9th than the 15th :p
 
Nothing for me again. Doing to try doing only two reservations tomorrow. One from my MacBook Pro using my WiFi and one from my iPhone using 3G so I.P addresses aren't the same, both under different names, see if mass reservations really is the stumbling block.
