Anyone who ordered online from the Apple UK online store with a delivery window between tomorrow and 30 October 2012 got their one yet, or had a shipping email?
I'm still on the 'Processing Items' screen on my 64gb white/silver for the 24th day on the trot. Reading other forums it seems as they have started to ship. I'm wondering if they might leave it to my last day to get it delivered to me.

I haven't yet - placed my order on the 1st Oct. When did you place yours?
I'm hoping my status will change soon just so I can stop playing the stupid reservation game - another day with no email :(

Hey remember me? The nutter who finally got an iPhone from the metro centre despite living about 30 mins from meadowhall? No I thought not.

Anyway it was scratched, so having found out there's stock for 14day replacements even when there isn't any real stock I went in. I refused a refurb, and demanded a retail box and hey presto, stock appeared.

First replacement also scratched.
Second replacement also scratched.

Third was fine so I'm very happy.

Worth pointing out that the staff were EXCELLENT, even at the third replacement. No refusal to open more, they were spot on throughout.

Restored faith etc.

After waiting for almost 3 weeks for O2/CPW to deliver I tried pre-ordering to collect from Apple Manchester this morning (for the 1st time) and was successful! So picking up my white 16gb tomorrow :D

To even advertise a data plan of 500mb on a NEXT GENERATION HIGH SPEED 4G NETWORK is absolutely laughable.
The main question what EE will do when you increase a limit.
I am on T-Mobile and when I increase 1GB now, they only blocked some services from 4pm till night. However I can continue download as much as I want using OpenVPN configured on port 80 :)

Really lucky person! Congratulations! :)

Just saw EE's tariffs, and all I can say is what a rip off. Anybody who signs up to these extortionist plans is an idiot IMO

EE £36 p/m for 500mb data
3mobile £15 p/m for unlimited data
giffgaff £10 p/m for unlimited data

That's not an Apple's to Apple's comparison. As you picked EE plan that includes a subsidy for a phone with a sim only/pay as you go plan which doesn't! The actual comparison is EE costs £21 for 500Mb NOT £36!!!

Congrats.

I gave up on 02's payg constantly out of stock so after 14 attempts i got lucky at meadowhall.

Remember to take some i.d just in case.

I might be miffed that you got lucky first time (since I've been trying for weeks), but I guess since you've been waiting for 02/CPW for so long then karma is on your side...

I am in the same situation, i ordered mine on the 29th Sept, i am starting to worry as my current contract runs out on the 30th so will be without until iphone 5 arrives because new sim only contract is on a nano sim. However if they are starting to ship hopefully we will be ok.

I've ordered it on contract, not sim free, if that makes a difference?

Hi all, could i ask a Non iPhone question (which is however a UK specific question)

Does anyone here (UK based) have any experience pre-ordering or buying with US Apple store online?

Basically a mate of mine wants an iPad Mini for his daughter, he knows that they are cheaper on the US site,

Im going to New York for a week at the end of November and he has asked if id get him one, which im happy to do.

Been looking and the options are to walk into store and hope they have one in stock or letting him buy it online and put it down for personal pick up (and him designate me to do this for him)

Anyone have any experience doing either of these?

Same day. But I think you picked the most popular model, I bought the most expensive one just in the hope to get it faster!

I have seen others on another forum who ordered on the 29th who've shipped, so yours should be soon I hope! I'm pretty sure they do at least do them in the order in which the orders were placed, so you should be relatively early in this 'window'

Yes, I think the contract ones aren't in short supply actually. Anyway, hope you enjoy your new phone! (and I'm sure one way or another I'll get one soon too..)

Yeah sure, 32GB black here - I think that might be the most popular one (or it might be the 16, not sure)

Well lets hope they ship on a first come first served basis, although looking around on other posts some later orders have already been shipped. I have ordered the 16gb white so might have shot myself in the foot there as could be quite a popular one... But then apple shouldnt quote a delivery date they cant stick to! We shall just have to see. Will keep you guys posted of any updates i get.

No problem if you have US delivery address. You will be able to use your UK card to make a payment.

I have a friends on Cyprus, they always buy everything online on http://store.apple.com/uk and use my UK address. Then I send what they bought to Cyprus.

OMG been trying for 3+ weeks to reserve a white 16GB from manchester!!!!! So lucky to get one first time. Tbh I'm absolutely sick to death of trying now, the whole reservation system is ridiculous. No incentive to keep on trying when it's a random lottery.

----------

oh but now I see it's on contract which explains why you were lucky. I'm after sim free lol.

Which store did you return to?

You are right. However, the general point remains true I guess.. £21 a month gets you unlimited everything on t mobile. EE plans are laughable.

In store reservation system gone?

Am I just being thick or after the launch of the new products yesterday it appears the website has changed and I can't seem to find the ability to request an Iphone reservation for potential in store pickup if successful?

I got my white 32g it's mint. No scratches.

Battery drained fast on 1st usage from 70% out of the box to 50%! I only setup email, connected to wifi download 3 apps.....

Not done a first charge yet, I want to use it to 0% then do a full charge.

I am little confused with the new EE plans, so you get ULTD Mins & Texts plus the 4G data, but will we still have access to the 3G network (is it still unlimited 3G wit the data cap on 4G only, or will the 3G be taken from your data allowance?).

I am currently on £46/month Full Monty from Tmobile, will I be able to go on the £46/month 3GB 4GEE plan, and is there a benefit to it?

Thanks

James
