Just to warn people who are considering Everything Everywhere because of their LTE/4G support, or current Orange and T-Mobile customers, that the LTE network is only being rolled out in 16 areas of the UK "by Christmas". They are: London, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Derby, Glasgow, Hull, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Sheffield and Southampton.

Mine says "Order Processing" and Delivers: 9/21. Fingers crossed.

Was getting worried about paying with my barclays debit card after reading about all the people who have had theirs blocked, but I rang the bank and the money has gone. Bloke in customer services says all is tickety boo.

I had originally ordered a micro USB to lightning adaptor but I cancelled that in the hope it doesnt slow my order down.

Got my PAC number from O2 and now I just need to get a sim only deal through 3 and a Nano Sim arranged! :)

3 should get LTE later in the year, they're offering some great prices... Will grab the one plan for 64gb 42 a month 109 upfront. Not preordering...will order in early octoberish..most likely be sold out then lol.

Three are not launching LTE until next year. It was part of the agreement they made with EE who they bought it off.

We have seen screenshots, and buyer reports on here, of text on the UK apple site clearly stating that an adaptor is included with the phone. US users report not seeing the same text, hence the uncertainty.

I guess we won't know for sure until the boxes arrive, but the evidence so far seems clear. Saying that, it's possible that the screenshot is faked and/or the adaptor is only available with certain configurations.

EDIT: Seeing the posts above it seems like it was a mistake. Ho hum! I'm still crossing my fingers...

"What’s in the box?
iPhone 5 with iOS 6
Documentation
Apple EarPods with Remote and Mic
One-year limited hardware warranty
Lightning to USB Cable
90 days complimentary telephone support
USB Power Adapter"

They do not have a nano-sim.

A local 3 store will give me a nano-sim in a micro-sim to go in my 4S until iPhone 5 arrives-crap signal where I live though.
And my local O2 say they will have similar Wednesday or Thursday next week so I can play with my new phone from Apple on Friday.

Got consistent rubbish from O2 online about needing to get a nano-sim in-store AFTER my phone comes on 21st!

Think I'll be taking 3 up on their "One plan". Very cheap, a lot for your money and 1 month rolling contract.

What more can one ask for?

These posts about whether 3/O2/Vodafone are getting 4G are getting really annoying.

Why done people just listen to the facts?

3 won't get it until next year, Vodafone and O2 are not getting it for some time and both networks will not work on the iPhone 5

I'm seriously considering ditching O2 for 3 to get the Ultimate 600 SIM. But then i remember they're not getting 4G until Sept 2013, and then i start to wonder if its worth switching or if i should just wait till iPhone 6 with O2 which will hopefully support 800Mhz/2600MHz.

Anyone know if EE will be offering SIM-only 4G plans?

So just got off the phone to 3.
16GB white phone in the post (so to speak!)

Going to be delivered on Friday between 8am and 6pm.

And there was me thinking I'd be waiting weeks on end! One happy boy here. Thanks for your words of wisdom guys. Definitely helped me make the right choice :)

Wideband audio/HD voice network support in the UK?

Anyone know which UK networks will support HD voice/wideband audio on the iPhone 5?

Apple said 20 networks would support it at launch. Can't see any info on which UK networks will support it but it seems the only ones which already have HD voice on other phones are Orange and Three.

If EE can offer visual voicemail, HD/wideband voice and 4G that might be fairly irresistible!

Me.

I walked into my local 3 store yesterday and walked out with a new Nano SIM and a free adaptor (at no charge).

Well i wanted to go through quidco and get some cashback, hence why i wanted to do it online. Anyone else have any ideas?

EE havent launched yet so come next Friday (When the 5 is out) no. They wont offer sim only 4G plans.

From EE:

"Customers can either wait for EE to launch (we will be announcing the date in the coming weeks) or they can sign up to a contract with T-Mobile or Orange and upgrade to EE free of charge once it has launched, as long as they move to an equivalent priced and length plan
on EE."

There seems to be crossed wires here. shortcrust was talking about the lightning to dock connector adaptor that was listed as coming free with your iPhone 5 order for those that ordered early this morning. It's since been removed, and Apple have said that it was an error on their part.

There won't be a nano sim included in the box if you ordered from the Apple store online, but you'll get one if you ordered from a carrier.

3 will send my nano-Sim on Monday, but I will not be able to activate it before Thursday.

This is just conjecture at the moment.

ive just been banned from the o2 forums for saying i may leave for 3?

what kind of service is this? what a bunch of knobs,

have decided I'm leaving O2 after around 10 years of loyal service since I was a teenager on PAYG!

Recent poor service outages and the lack of preperation for this launch has made me decide I'm moving to vodafone (better signal in the office and decent European travel bundles)

But am not going to change SIM's and networks (and hence phone numbers) at the same time - will move to o2 nano sim then sign up to SIM only vodafone tariff week after launch.
