Guys is there anyway to confirm that your CC has been charged on the apple website? My order states Processing? does this been all is ok?

T-Mobile just email me to say my phone would be dispatched within 30 days of release.

I've cancelled and going to re-order with 3.
Idiots.

I moved from Orange to 3 last year and I was a bit apprehensive due to reports of their poor customer service. This year they appear to be the only operator actually trying to win business and it looks like their approach is working.

Just for the record I found their customer service to be very good and while not perfect much better than Orange IME.

Mine says the same and the money has been taken from my CC available balance, if that's any help/assurance?

If you paid with a credit card then you shouldn't see anything charged until dispatch. A debit card will show some activity almost straight away.

That is what I ordered and paid for in the UK, that is what I want.

Ordered 32GB white from Orange. £51 P/M, Unlimited everything. Then will move to EE when they get going. Got my PAC code from o2 so fingers crossed the phone comes on Friday!

Mine was activated within 2 hours, up and running now!

I went to Three this morning. They make you sign the contract there and then along with credit checks etc., however pay for the phone when you collect it next Friday!

That's not a problem. As long as they guarantee launch day availability and hold it for me until I get there at 2pm launch day.

Isn't it the other way around?

With a CC you will see the amount removed from your available balance, but with a DC nothing will be taken out until Apple are ready to ship

Perhaps remove from you available balance but not actually charged until dispatch. Apple takes the cash from DCs and then refunds/recharges on dispatch - not entirely how it should work but they are covering themselves.

The Lightning Cable was always included. Its the Lightning Adapter that is/was causing confusion.

Stuck with O2 for another year (damn my need for a 4S last year). So ordered a White 32gb via the store App this morning. Will sell my 4S to Orange for £300 so it's not too bad a price to pay.

Got mine ordered unlocked from apple 1st thing. No site crashes, no failed orders.. looks like they got their act together this year! I hate to imagine what the needle went up to on the bandwidth meter at their datacentre..

Anyone know if orange or tmobile will do their "iphone sim with free 12 months internet" deal with a nano sim? And if they do, will it include LTE? This is a brilliant deal for me as I mostly use my phone for data. Bought one with my last 2 iphones, think my combined bill over 2 years has been <£30!

Just want some if clarification, I've o2 iphone contract with 8 months left to run, Can I just buy the ip5 from apple and get the sim swapped to nano sim and it should work no problem?

Indeed. I was just researching DC-HSDPA on all the carriers and it looks like 3 offer the best deal/speeds still.

3's speeds on DC-HSDPA are even comparible to EE's quoted average 4G speeds...

The iPad 3 has the DC-HSDPA or HSPA+ or whatever it is.
At home, I get about 6Mbps on my iPad 3 using a 3 sim. At the girlfriends, I get about 10-11Mbps.
Prior to the iPad 3, on the iPad 2, the speeds were half that.

EE says their average 4G is 8-12Mbps.

3 win for me.

64gb iPhone ordered check
Bank debited £700 check
Delivers 21st check
Nano-sim acquired check
Nano-sim activated...waiting...

GETTING EXCITED NOW!!

So here is how my day went so far...

Currently on O2

Early morning the wife pre-ordered with Carphonewarehouse as an upgrade and got an email saying to wait for confirmation.

I want a white phone so decided to wait for a bit, eventually i succumbed and pre-ordered with T-Mobile at about 9:30am, got an email saying to wait for a credit check and got a call a bit later with an offer of a contract, but told i wasnt garunteed a phone up to 30 days from launch.

No good! so cancelled with T-Mobile and sat and waited for o2... and waited... then i saw a post on o2 site someone phoned Phones4u up and was able to upgrade on the phone.

Phoned Phones4u and was able to upgrade to a black 16GB iphone5 as white were not available for o2 (despite o2 not even doing upgrades on their site yet) while i was on the phone the guy said to hold on as he just received a message revealing a stock allocation for white phones on o2, said he needed to check this, came back and said strangley he can do a white 16GB. I asked him to triple check that this is true and for launch and he said yep, or i can move to vodafone.

So i upgraded on the phone, no trouble, got confirmation that i should get my phone on launch day delivered or at the latest 5 days within launch. I also got a iphone5 pack with some goodies, and if i refferred someone id get £50.

Phoned the missus, she called Carphonewarehouse and they said she wouldnt even get one and she still hadnt received confirmation all day, so she then phoned phones4u, did the upgrade and got £50.

Was told the allocation is dwindling though....
