Been following this thread since day 1 so I thought I'd chime in with my situation.

Ordered a 32GB Black iPhone 5 this morning and just ordered a fresh pay-monthly nano-sim from Three; 200 mins, 5000 texts and unlimited data @ £12.90/month. It's a rolling month so I can leave anytime I like if a better deal comes up or if Three's signal turns out to be **** when I move to uni in two weeks.

£599 + (£12.90 x 24) - £25 Quidco Cashback = £883.60 over the two years.

The equivalent of getting a free 32GB iPhone with unlimited data for £36/month.

Any guesses as to how difficult moving my number from my soon to be defunct Orange contract to my new sim will be?

Good deal. Doing the exact same but have had the rolling 1-monthly One Plan sim for over a year now. It's the only plan that lets you tether for free. I find that very very useful.

Yeah, 3 nano-sims should be free for existing customers. I noticed during the process he charged £5.11, presumably to my account, then credited it back.

Woo! Managed to purchase my iPhone 5, as soon as the Apple Store updated this morning, should arrive on 21st Friday on release day or earlier.

Spoke to Vodafone, they do not have Nano SIMs at the moment but should do on launch day.

how soon did they release tracking and dispatched notice on pre orders for the iphone 4s? i think the 4 was a few days?

cant quite recall..

They do mate. I mean, we'll see next week but I must have checked with the lad I spoke to at least five times that it was a nano sim. Give them a call back.

I'm sure I tracked mine from China, and not the UK (that was for iPad 3).

Good to see :)

I got the iPad3 on launch and they were all shipped from the UK, have a look at the UK ipad 3 thread from months back.

The same goes for the 4S, they all come from Cork, Ireland and are distributed to the couriers on the mainland.

Yet I think my iPad 3 didn't show that it had shipped until the Friday morning! Still received it early Friday afternoon though.
I think I had to pick up my iPhone 4, because they were too busy to send it!

T-Mobile just email me to say my phone would be dispatched within 30 days of release.

I've cancelled and going to re-order with 3.

they just did the same to me... i ordered at like 8:10!

is anywhere stiil taking orders for delivery on the 21st and how easy is it to cancel?

agghh help!!

Anyone want to smack Apple?

EDIT: my Credit Card arrived today, still need a PIN.

I've just spoken to Apple Customer Service about the lightning dock adaptor. They say it was an error on their part, has been corrected now, and that no free adaptors will be supplied. I pushed it a bit, and argued that what I've ordered isn't what is being supplied and that I specifically didn't order an adaptor because I thought I was getting one included for free, and that I'll now have to wait until October to get one. They said that they've had lots of similar complaints and are working on resolving it by Monday. They should have more information by then.
