My iPhone 5 battery was bad, but my 5S one is shocking. lol.

Its not too bad on standby tbh, but play with it and it reduces exponentially. :( I am loathed to do a fresh restore. Too much saved info that i dont want to lose from my old device. Oh well.

Definitely need to invest in some more spare lightning cables. We have 3 in our household now, but the wife needs 2x for her iPad mini and 5S too. I need 2 more spares really, one for work and one for my car.

I was really surprised that on day of release at Apple Touchwood, the store was empty after i visted the Three store over the way. Managed to pick up 2x leather covers and walk out in a few minutes. No queues etc. Maybe stock was diminished.

People please stop calling them asian scalpers. You wouldn't call them white scalpers if they were all white, hence its racism imo.

You can bet your bottom dollar that is exactly what people would be saying if hordes of white people queued up in an Asian country.

I expect mine to prepare for shipment today. If not, I will be complaining to Apple tonight. 7 Business Days Fri, Sat, Mon-Fri - If Apple try to tell me they don't work on a Saturday, I'm calling BS

Business days in the UK are Mon-Fri. Saturday is not a business day.

EE (over the phone), apparently; if you order online with EE, you'll get a handset within 2 days.

Be aware that EE will say anything to get a sale, they have frequently been found out for claiming in stock and then 2 days later claiming a "mistake" in stock numbers and putting the customer on back order.

Don't get your hopes up with an EE order until you get a courier notification of delivery.

Does anyone know if an iphone 5S purchased as an upgrade from o2

Is the phone just locked to o2 or does it have all the usual bubble start up screen etc?

Only locked to O2. Apple have never allowed any customisation on or in an iphone.

US orders are shipping and they ordered after us, so that logic doesn't work.

They may do but the US is a different version than the international ones, soi they probably have made more of those to begin withthen it's the rest of the world competing for the rest

Quick question, if i queue on a morning and get my ticket, could i collect the phone later in the day, or, when they get to the end and see a few remaining do the apple store sell them on?

You can't do that, I asked the same this week while in the queue in Regent Street and was answered "No".

My conclusion is that Apple doesn't care about the online orders at all, they prefer queues in the front of their stores.

Just caved in and ordered from CPW, despite swearing I never would again after the complete mess they made of the 3G launch. But seeing everyone else get theirs when my 00:01 Online Apple Store order still sits there was just too much of a slap in the face from Apple.

With CPW's history I'm not going to cancel my Apple order till I get it in my hands though.

But.... when I was ordering from CPW online (64GB Grey, unlocked), everything suggested I would have an option to select Saturday delivery, but my order completed without any chance to select this. Anyone know if this should have been available and I just missed it?

Don't think you need to pay, I ordered a 64gb Grey last Friday about 5pm (launch day) and it was delivered by DPD the following day (saturday). As it happens I ordered another yesterday, which is out for delivery today.

Regent Street Apple Store

Was just at the Regent St store at 11.30am. All 5S have been allocated, people were just queueing up to purchase them.

By restricting supply of the 5S do they expect people to buy more 5C that presumably has a higher profit margin than the 5S??

I ordered 32Gb gold online with EE at 11:30pm yesterday and just had text from UKmail saying it's being delivered tomorrow.

Hmmm, interesting, thanks. Maybe that's why it's not an option, if they're doing free Saturday deliveries for Friday orders anyway. Trouble is if I call them I'm sure they'll be more than happy to take my £7.50 off me. I don't want to just leave it to chance and then end up having to wait in Monday. I'll see what they say in a bit.

Not sure if it's the only stock they get, but every time they've had any in so far, it's been in time for the store opening in the morning and they're sold by 9:30.

Not sure if it's during the night, very early morning, or late afternoons he day before with stock beinheld until the next day.

Sadly, don't think you'll have any chance at lunchtime. On Wednesday, the queue was 150 long by 8:30.

It's absolutely mental. It's at the point where every single day is like day 1. I have my 32GB Silver ordered. It was on the morning of the 20th. Said 7-10 days and by the time my order was complete it was upto October. Must've been unlucky.

And hopefully people would call them out for being racists too.

I completly agree! These 'stating a fact' "comments shouldnt be said in any country as one of the earlier posts quite rightly said a persons ethnicity is irrelevant when talking about scalpers or any group of people who are doing something that is unjust and wrong.

I'm doing a complete fresh install when I get mine

Esp after reading all the complaints from people who haven't

I wish every app would not get accepted into the store unless it saved document and data info to icloud. Games\apps could just be downloaded fresh and save game info would be there waiting.

Resisting the urge to order a Sim-only from CPW for £50 more, delivery tomorrow.

Apple really have treated the early birds with no respect here. The midnight crowd were the first people to wave their credit cards in their direction, and still stock is allocated elsewhere.
