Just wanted to share my good fortune with you. Just managed to pick up a 32 space grey from regent street... They're probably out by now since they only had 12 remaining

So I went to Stratford this morning to purchase my iPhone. Got to the queue, full of scalpers and a couple of genuine purchasers. I was told that there was just the grey left (I'm been undecided between the grey and silver). I asked for the 32GB and joined the queue with my mate. It was full of Asian people (observation, not racism) and many seemed to know each other (observation, not racism).

What really surprised me is that as people left the store which their two purchases in hand, they approached the lady giving out tickets and before they said anything, she asked 'Going again?' and offered them two more tickets each. I saw this repeatedly with virtually every customer who left the store. I left the store with my one handset at about 10:30 and the queue line was being shortened.

Whilst earlier this week I got slated for saying about Apple not being strict on this by not introducing reservations/pay and collect, it appears that Apple are deliberating assisting customers they know have their allocation of two phones already. This is at the expense of genuine customers, both online and instore.

Really poor show by Apple. I think they just want to shift the stock as quickly as possible so they can get on with business as usual.

I was there this morning.... Just a gigantic queue going round the trafford centre, and they were just handing out tickets for Gray 32GB & 64GB. The guy said that was all they had.

Really? Wonder if they've had another delivery then this afternoon as she said they had all colours and models but said she couldn't disclose stock levels

They say hey have it in stock, but they don't have a "buy" button, but a "pre order" button. Strange?

Think it will arrive tomorrow?

I rang and ordered over the phone. He said the reason online it still shows pre-order is simply the stock sells out quickly and it's first come first served. However, mine is now on its way for delivery tomorrow.

I don't think any UK orders have yet (although someone reported an Apple advisor said the UK orders have started to ship).

I think a lot of people on here have given up and bought from Carphone Warehouse:rolleyes:

No change here too still saying processing order.

Maybe, if you do go down and see could you let me know? I'm only 5 minutes away and desperate for my handset!! I made the horrific decision to give the GS4 a chance and have regretted it ever since.

not in the last 30 times I've refreshed this morning....

same here i have refreshed gazzilion times.

Well I'm half an hour away so it'd be a better idea if you went and checked and got back to me :D

Getting annoying now, ordered a week ago and still it's processing items. I would've have expected Apple to have dealt with the supply issue by now.

Must just be that particular store as at Bluewater on Wednesday people were trying to rejoin the queue after purchasing 2 iPhones but Apple manager came out and threw them out of the queue and called the police who took them away.

Like many others I ordered at 12.01 last Friday evening and got the standard 7-10 days. Anyway I have know received my phone through o2 refresh (24 hrs to delivery) and cancelled my online order. I have paid off the phone plan and will unlock in due course. The phone was 30 quid cheaper than buying from Apple and the airtime contract is better value than the one I was on, so all in all I'm a happy camper.

Is there anything unique about the UK spec models, that would suggest yes, this is a supply issue?

If not, then Apple are choosing not to fulfil UK online orders with any urgency... as not only are UK retail stores and carriers receiving constant additional shipments, but the 7-10 day online orders from elsewhere around the world are now shipping - US and Australia reports elsewhere in this forum.

And the US already one big shipment with the 1-3 day orders, so this represents a second or even third major shipment to the US. And with evidence of re-stocking of UK carriers and retail stores, I think we can conclude that Apple is delaying UK online orders deliberately.. not because of short supply.

edit - ... and Germany.!

I was really furious that they were allowing it to be honest. If I had an iPhone (sold mine last week), I would've filmed it to to show everyone what was going on. I saw one guy with 8 phones in his bag. Money was being passed between queuers etc.

The Apple lady was blatantly trying to get rid of the stock and the 4/5 security guards just looked on. Funny as the security guards were strict on people jumping the queue - even preventing a friend of a genuine purchaser from joining the queue with her. And I was told if I left the queue, my phone was be sold to someone else.

Part of me was tempted to get my two allocation, get my mate to get two and then queue again just to prevent the scalpers from purchasing all the stock but I didn't want to prevent genuine purchasers from obtaining their phone. If I had my iPhone, I probably would've logged on to here to take orders for genuine iPhone users.

Looking at this page: http://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/ it would suggest that there are actually 4 different models of iPhone 5S. With the European one being one entirely on it's own, which could suggest why Germany & France haven't got theirs yet...

The US/Australian 7-10 day orders have only just started to ship (within the last 24hrs), and some 1-3 day US orders got bumped to 7-10 days and have still not shipped yet, so it is not just the UK (and Germany) still waiting.

online order at 00:00 at launch still nothing change really stupid..........:(

I hope apple will imply touch id and apple account to a custom app when purchasing in store!

Make them register their left and right thumb with their apple id when making purchase to prevent repeatedly buying
