My 64gb gold and 32gb silver are still processing. Ordered 00:01am and got email immediately.

I'm sure they are being manufactured and sent immediately unlike past phones

Does anyone know or has anyone ever changed their delivery address via UPS because I wont be home for my delivery on Wednesday and will need it delivered to work?

Yeah - looks like it - a lot of the phones (including mine) now in the air were manufactured week 39, which is actually this week (week of 23rd Sept)

Anyone had their 32GB gold/silver go to prepare during the night?

Do you think we'll have to wait much longer than the rest if we don't make the same flight as the others? (I know nobody here could possible know but I'm desperate!:p)

If they dont make the flight on the 30th, theres no way we'd get them before the 8th (earliest, but expect later because of transit times) as the holidays start on the 1st (and last til the 7th).
So fingers crossed for all of us :D

I am an international student studying in UK, Sheffield. I moved to Sheffield 2 weeks ago and now has no phone to use for 2 weeks. I'm thinking to buy an iPhone in contract with Three, instead of waiting one from Apple. I ordered a gold 32GB one.

I have asked other mobile phone carriers about buying the phone (i.e. EE) but I'm not able to buy one in contract with a reason that I'm too new to UK (they said). Only Three I can get one.

Is it good to go with Three? I'm not sure about signal quality- 2g, 3G. Many people complain about it. Is there any idea? Please advice. Thx. :):apple:

I choose my operator based on signal and speed, not price and I went with three. They don't have a 2g signal. It's all 3G. So while others have greater coverage it's often down to 2g.

You'll be very happy with three.

And when three's 3G signal drops out they use orange's 2G network as far as I know.

Not any more. They stopped that after their latest batch of towers went online. It's 100% 3G now. Which is cosmic. So many times in out with my mates on O2 and they get GPRS or Edge and I'm rocking 15mbps 3G downloads. "You want to tether to my cheaper, unlimited data three tariff? Oh ok then" ;)

STILL THEYRE PROCESSING THE PHONE. ARGHHHHHHH!

Can I expect to see any change today (Sunday)?

Maybe. Its 3:31pm in Shenzen right now. It could jump to preparing for dispatch.
Dont expect more than that til monday though, when its actually able to ship.

Looking at the cargo departures at Hong Kong, there were plenty of flights flying via Dubai. If you then look at the same information for Dubai, there are several flights to Cologne. Then I guess there are flights on to East Midlands.

I imagine UK phones will get here via that route. It's not necessarily one flight from Hong Kong.

Flight 5x 023 ?

I highly doubt that will work.

With pretty much all Couriers, its only the party sending a package who can modify the address once in transit. It's Apple's package, they have paid for the service so only they have a contract with UPS, they are just delivering to us. Even if they could simply change it, the reason they likely won't is because its to easily open to fraud and people stealing identities and ordering phones sent to different addresses.

So the phone will go to whatever address is on the manifest. If it can't be delivered and is carded, you may then be able to arrange delivery elsewhere.

I'll be happy if it just changes to preparing for dispatch. I'm quite annoyed how people have been ordering from carrier websites late last week have been receiving them, yet we who've ordered directly from Apple as early as possible on release day still haven't seen any progress on our respective orders!

CPW are expecting delivery of 64GB gold "by Oct 4" so if their date is accurate, it suggests the factory will actually be making a batch of those in the near future. So those of us who haven't changed status yet will just have to hope that the batch includes us too. Equally, that date may be wrong, or their phones may have already been made, but you have to be optimistic :)

Same here. Plus i really need to see some progress, i just got a new debitcard sent this week and am worried that my bank might cancel my iphone payment as i did that with my old card.

That's that's the one!

The last two years tracking was a nightmare they came from China with a logistics company called Syncreon who then passed them on to several different couriers in the UK,at least with UPS we can track them stage by stage which adds to the excitement:).

They still do borrow a 2g signal in some areas, there is one area near me where i can get 4 bars of 2g or no bars of 3g
