Alas, no.

QUIDCO have some terms and conditions on their Apple page....

"Cashback is not available on the iPhone 5S/5C."

Why must everyone hate on Apple! I know this sounds silly, but whenever a new Apple device comes out, everyone ups their prices or denies offers. The opposite thing happens is Samsung, or anything non-apple branded. I believe Quidco were even promoting it with their cash back offer when it came out!

I would say that it's more a case of Apple not allowing cash back, not the other way around....

Oh really, I thought it was Quidco who 'allowed' cashback. Now I understand how it works!

Yeah it's Apple who effectively pays the cashback to Quidco. While demand is sky high, Apple has no need to pay fees to affiliates to drive sales when they are driving more sales they can handle with their own marketing efforts. I'm sure Quidco would love to be getting a cut on those sales if they could. Quidco do have other mobile resellers who may still be paying cashback on 5C/5S sales if you're happy to go through a third-party.

Interesting.

Has anyone seen any 5s tariffs for O2?

Those EE prices seem quite tempting, particularly as they have 4G up and running from day one. Does anyone here have a iPhone 5 contract with EE. What is the 4G performance like?

I think you have to be logged in as an O2 customer to see this.

https://www.o2.co.uk/upgrade/refreshTariffs/apple/iphone-5s-64gb-gold/?is4G=true

EDIT- yeah, you have to be logged in and head for the 'upgrades' section. Maybe it's restricted to eligible customers only...

ANOTHER EDIT- those data allowances above are a 'special offer' until 31 October only:

"Until 31 October you can get 8GB data for the price of 5GB or 5GB for the price of 3GB - for
your entire contract."

Went on Vodafone upgrade site and nothing about the 5s yet. I hope all these carriers announce all pricing prior to its release so we can make informed decisions!

Odd, I just logged in to have a look and the only 5s options is the gold model.

My cynical side makes me think they're doing exactly the opposite, on purpose... they don't want you to make an informed decision!

Could you post the 16GB tarrifs for us?

Declandio that was my thought exactly!

yeah, same here... i bet it's more like a 'place holder' of sorts. when you can actually buy it, I'm sure all the other options will appear (not that I would know, particularly!).

With some more calculations, here is what I've come up with.

EE Network / 32GB iPhone 5s

Pay As You Go
Phone £629.00

Current offer SIM only:
1GB Data. Unlimited Text. Unlimited Calls
£16 per month / 12 month contract
£192.00

Total: £821 for one year

Subsidised Pay monthly
Phone £290

Contract
1GB Data. Unlimited Text. Unlimited Calls
£31 per month / 24 month contract
£744

Total £1034 for two years.

So essentially it works £21 more expensive to go on a 24 month contract IF EE offered the same SIM only deal after one year. However there is a £48 cashback offer with the SIM only on £16/month with quidco. Ends tomorrow.

I understand you can upgrade 6 months into a contract, bearing in mind that it will be 12 months before the next iPhone.

Hmmm, I have already ordered the £16/month SIM only deal and will probably stick with that.

the tariffs are the same... the 'refresh' prices of 16gb handset are that i can see are

Pay £0.00 today. Then 24 payments of £25.00 a month
Pay £119.99 today. Then 24 payments of £20.00 a month
Pay £169.99 today. Then 24 payments of £15.00 a month
Pay £319.99 today. Then 24 payments of £10.00 a month
Pay £600.00 today. Then 24 payments of £0.00 a month
Pay more upfront and you'll have lower monthly payments. And you could pay less overall.

i was thinking of ditching O2 but it's not looking too bad at the moment. I quite like the 'refresh' way of doing it.

Same for me, and only 16GB.

I can see 16, 32 and 64GB options. Here are screens of the 4G Refresh Tariffs for those who are interested:

Sorry that they are not thumbnailed, I have never worked out how to do that when adding pictures.

UK iPhone 5s and 5c Thread

On the O2 refresh plan they have 8, 5, 3GB.
I have run over my 1GB usage plan a few times in my contract.

How much usage would the average person need with 4G sucking new data through?

Generally, I know it's hard to say.

It depends on if how you use it changes I would say. If you carry on doing the same stuff then nothing would change... if you increase the amount of streaming or tethering, you're usage would go up regardless of 3G or 4G surely.

This is thought just don't know if I should go 5 or 8 really. Never used 4G or know how much data I would expect to use in my contract.

You should be able to login to your existing account and see each months data usage..

I think even people who use more than 'the average' amount would easily survive on 5gb...
