I've been to white city, regent st and covent garden. The only place that had them was covent garden and only 16gb grey. Even though I was told on Saturday they wouldn't be receiving any until Tuesday.

Every line was full of scalpers pushing in and being generally rude.

I've just seen a guy pick up 2 64GB grey so the Apple staff member lied when she said they only had 16GB

None left at Covent Garden, queue full of scalpers.

Thanks for checking though..I'm going to head down there tomorrow morning to see if I can pick one up.

Has anyone seen a move from Processing to Preparing to Ship today? Post if you do - 64GB Gold still processing here, and getting very impatient.

Somethin weird going on....

Apple tracking shows Out for delivery x 4 now, but UPS has no updates since 5am.

All whose iPhone is still in Cologne, probably won't get their phone before Friday or even not before next week. I'm from Germany and we also have a holiday on thursday. So UPS won't ship then.

I can´t wait for my 5s to arrive, I´m getting pretty tired of entering my password in de Apple store app on my iPhone 5 to check the status...

At least when waiting for my iPhone 6 to ship I can scan my fingerprint :p :p

Not sure why a holiday on Thursday would stop UPS shipping them on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.

UPS Destination Scan means it's been put on the van ready be delivered.

Sorry, but I think you'll find "Destination scan" just means it's arrived at it's final UPS depot.

"Out for delivery" means it's on the van to you.

I've found the UPS tracking to be more accurate than the Apple 'interpretation'.

Destination scan does indeed mean that it has arrived at your local office:

http://www.ups.com/content/gb/en/tracking/tracking/description.html

It may be that the UPS site has not been updated as yet. This happened to me yesterday with the import scan where it showed up over an hour after the time suggested it had been scanned.

The API that the Apple site uses for tracking may have more up to date information, hence the "Out for Delivery" but it can also be buggy which would result in things like multiple messages.

I've seen this happen quite a few times as the company I work for also uses the UPS API to update our own information.

Correct. Its reached its final depot. The next step is "Out for delivery" which means its on the van. Go by the UPS site not apples.

Is it not day 9? Ordered early Friday, so I count that as one day. Do you not count Saturdays as business days?

No, as has been pointed out already, it's day 7, so has only just entered the window Apple originally quoted.

Business Days are Monday-Friday. Regardless of whether Apple, Foxconn, UPS or whoever else involved is working weekends, the quote Apple gave was in Business Days.

Its 5:07pm in shenzhen now..maybe a couple more hours (3 or so) and there is no way we'll get the phones on time for oct.7th or even 8th,9th.. (mostly silver and gold)
*le sigh*

Anybody been able to pick up one sim free from here?

Tried to get one in-store on Friday and Saturday, when the online stock check said both Birmingham New Street stores had then, but told they would only sell instore on contract only.

You can order them online for delivery or in store pick up sim free though.

----------

Went into Liverpool One store on the off chance on the way to work, but no delivery as of 10 mins after opening.

Queue of about a dozen or so waiting in,line at opening time.

Same in Sheffield, Meadowhall. About ten customers queuing up for buying but they don't have in stock

I think its safe to say that no stores will have stock until this plane we are tracking leave Cologne :)

Yes, you will require your pin. On rare occasions, you get asked to sign for things, but that's only when something goes wrong e.g. chip cannot be read.

You can use it online without the pin, but not in store.

So I guess I can use the Easy Pay in an Apple Store. I don't have to enter any PIN. Btw I'm at an Apple Store now. No stock at all. I don't have to use any debit card or PIN ;)

Why though?

Can't you just wait a few days?
It's also deceitful given that they have to then sell the phone you return as a reconditioned model.

Hold on....you're saying what I'm doing is immoral or deceitful? Who am I being immoral or deceitful to? Our Dear Leader, Apple? The person who gets a cheaper/replacement iPhone? If it was a problem, Apple wouldn't have the not-required-by-law, no questions asked, 14 day return window.

Do you have a link for any of the iphone 5s's as PAYG on the carphone warehouse site? Can't seem to navigate to it.
