Mine is showing the same, it's going to have a massive carbon footprint what with the to-ing and fro-ing between China and Hong Kong and now on to the US!

UPS are messing with us! So all the flights we were tracking never had our phones on! its odd earlier i kinda though it might be going to the US but there were no flights from Hong Kong to the US scheduled!

Looks like 32GB & 64GB silver and grey are both in stock at present.

Direct link and tick the box for 32GB and colour and it shows stock with delivery on Thursday 3rd for PAYG. Priced £629.

I'm going to go in armed with this to the 3 store tomorrow morning. I'm sure I'll get the same story but I am going past it anyway.

My concern is that they will refuse to unlock it. I know it is "illegal" for them to do so, but they can make it very painful, and I really can't be bothered for that!

What? Anchorage! I live in england! Wtf ups?!

Yep that the flight I was tracking....I bet that was the quickest way to get them out of hong kong trust me once it is out of HK and into the rest of the world, things move quicker!

What's your estimated delivery date? Mine is still today (just turned Wednesday) but I don't see how it can make the trip from Alaska to the UK so quickly...

Well i wouldn't be surprised UPS are amazing in what they can do! Can i ask what phone you got? As if your in my batch we might both be getting a good knock at the door tomorrow!

I do have faith, i believe in UPS and they said the 4th so I'm not panicking (yet!) this was a nice little twist of events actually, more planes to stalk :p

While it's not illegal for them to refuse to unlock in the first 12 months, I very much doubt they would. Just for a start it's a totally different part of Three that processes the unlock requests and is nothing to do with Retail, so I wouldn't worry about that.

FYI on the OFCOM page on guidelines about unlocking.

SIM locking

Key points

SIM locking is permitted under current EU and Oftel guidelines as mobiles sold are subsidised - therefore it is allowable for the mobile companies to recover the associated cost of subsidising the mobile phones sold.

However, mobiles should be able to be unlocked once the subsidy has been recovered. This should generally be within a year if not before.

Charging for the associated admin costs of unlocking a mobile is acceptable, but customers should not expect to pay more than £30 + VAT

I wouldn't even mention unlocking to the sales staff, just do it on the phone or online when you get home.

The change in destination for our phones!

Well when you look on a map Hong Kong -> Anchorage -> Cologne -> UK would be quite sensible route, and at least our phones have escaped the Chinese holidays!

Those repeat scans at Hong Kong and Shenzhen were probably errors as they were out of sync, i think our phones just spent some time sitting in Hong Kong

i think the Hong Long departure after Germany and before Anchorage was a glitch/error in tracking but i have no clue why you phone from Germany would go to Anchorage before UK, ours went Hong Kong -> Anchorage

Is it just me who's iPhone has gone from China to Anchorage, AK??
