Hey thanks

Saw you posted this yesterday evening. As I was having no luck in London decided to order a sliver 32Gb phone from CPW for home delivery. Ordered at 6:58pm (nearly 2 hours after their cut off for next day delivery), email at 11pm from them saying they've dispatched the phone. Just checked the tracking no. with DPD, and its out for delivery  I should have it between 12:46 and 1:46pm according to DPD :D

I'll let you know if it turns up. Not bad from ordering to delivery around 18 hours hopefully.

Thanks again
Bri

Not sure if anyone else has posted this but CPW had stock of 32gb space grey and silver about an hour ago.

Got mine ordered for store collection tomorrow.

Worth a go if anyone is frustrated with Apple deliveries.

At last - mine has left Germany and is now in the UK (Castle Donnington)..

Let's hope it goes 'out for delivery' soon :D

DPD are hands-down the best delivery company from a consumer standpoint. Their tracking is awesome. Got a big thumbs up from me :)

The power button shakes when you pick up the device , its def loose and rattly :) Its not the camera.

Also the home button is not the same click all the time , sometimes it is ok with a soft click tother times it really clicks i.e. you could hear this across a table.

That doesn't seem right, anyway you can all let me know when you get yours , and then I can decide what to do :)

While it's not illegal for them to refuse to unlock in the first 12 months, I very much doubt they would. Just for a start it's a totally different part of Three that processes the unlock requests and is nothing to do with Retail, so I wouldn't worry about that.

FYI on the OFCOM page on guidelines about unlocking.

I wouldn't even mention unlocking to the sales staff, just do it on the phone or online when you get home.

But since I am paying for the handset in full (PAYG), there's no subsidisation - correct?

I don't want to just buy from Three without their word that they will unlock it because I'd truly be £635 down otherwise, with a phone I don't want (locked) and isn't worth what they sold it for due to the carrier lock.

Thanks for the tips and advice my friend, I will see what today's story is and report back.

I just wish Apple had stock of this product. This is getting silly now at nearly 2 weeks after release and a month after announcement. I feel for these guys who are just getting their phones delivered 10 days after ordering 2 minutes after launch. That's too long for the efforts and upfront investment they put in, Apple should have been better prepared.

Nearly 48 hours on 'Preparing for dispatch'

I ordered a 64GB Gold at 00:03, has anyone taken delivery of a 64GB gold in the UK yet via Apple?

Got to say, probably the worst Apple product release so far.

Thanks... Eh... I still don't know my iPhone serial numbers. Where can I get them?

If you go onto Apple's website and view the order for your 5s. Once in the "Your Orders" section, click "Print Invoice".

This will then open up a new page.

On this page/invoice you will see "Order Details". In this section you will see the model, colour, size of your iPhone and also the serial number for it too :)

Enter the serial number into this site:

Mine's also reaching 48 hours preparing to dispatch (32GB Silver)
and it doesn't look good for a shipment today either since it's already 15:30pm in China.
I'm guessing if UPS was working normally today they would have picked em up by now

I'm afraid we're caught right into their 3 day holiday and shipment will come on Friday

Still preparing for dispatch hope, to see some movement today or I might give apple a call to see if there's anything wrong

No stock at Arndale, manchester again! Gettin frustrated now!!

Any deliveries at any other Apple stores today?

Someone already told me about this, but still thanks Fatboy71. ;)

Finally my iPhones arrived at Feltham at 06:40, but it still stuck in there. What time normally does UPS send a truck for delivery? I thought it is around 07:00?

Oh man! It is out for delivery at 08:35!

Apple took our money on the 30th to ensure it boosted their 3th quarter revenue. That was the only reason why our phones had to move to "Preparing to Despatch". There is no phone to ship.

I checked Covent Garden also and the same deal. Guess I'll try again tomorrow. Funny thing is that it was pi$$ing it down this morning at around 6:30am and thought that would drive the scalpers away but low and behold they had set-up make shift cardboard box tents - all for nothing :D

Well today is the 9th business day, so they've got the rest of today and tomorrow to ship it.

Second attempt on delivery today. Let's hope they bothered to put the phones on the van today.

Haha, same in manchester, raining proper hard but the scalpers were there in full force!! Lol

I ordered my iPhone 5s Gold (16GB) from Apple online as soon as it went up for sale and it is 'Out for delivery' on the UPS tracking page. Really hoping it comes today!! I'm upgrading from iPhone 4.

You have zero proof of this, so stop spreading FUD. Also, as has been stated numerous times on these boards and in Apple's own SEC filings, they don't count a phone as a sale until it's in the customer's hands i.e. they've bought it in a retail store or it has been signed for if it was an online delivery. So, moving phones to "preparing for dispatch" makes no difference to their sales figures.

You are confusing phone unit sales with revenue.

Proof, yes, Apple took our money knowing full well they were not going to ship a single phone. This would have involved them debiting the money and not booking the shipping.
