Don't even bother thinking of checking the Liverpool Store if you weren't queueing from around 5am. 5S stock seems to be very low but no worries if you want a 5C. The Apple Guy who was ticketing said he had barely given out a single ticket for a 5C!

God knows when my online order at around 7:30 will turn up

No point standing in a queue for a 5C when you could have just preordered.

Completely sold out in Leicester, roughly 100 people got iphone 5S's. 90% of the queue has gone home. Absolute disaster

Took your advice and made the switch, had to do it online so it'll be a hassle to keep my number I guess, but it was about £1 more for EE's 4G plan than O2's 3G plan, and O2 don't even have 4G in Manchester, so it's a no-brainer.

You just need to call O2 and get a PAC code, and then call EE and give it to them.

Good choice on the switch though, O2 have been slacking as far as coverage goes, I switched because there's zero 3G in most of Wales, while we're swimming in EE coverage, 3 & 4G.

Top tip for painlessly ending a mobile contract and getting your PAC code... lie. Tell them your employer is taking on your payments but is moving you to a different network, and they won't put up any fight at all. Works every time!

I like the way they count using business days.
As if those factories in China shut down at weekends, or those shipping companies don't work Saturday and Sunday. Even the Apple stores here in the U.K. are open seven days a week.

A big change from other years. There was a lot of live-posting on these forums from queue-standers and their progress. Nary a peep this year (except for Leocester - thanks, dude!)

Took the train through to Glasgow from Edinburgh to queue at Apple. By 7.45 they were completely sold out! There can't have been more than 250 people ahead of me in line.

I legged it down to the 3 store and had upgraded with a 32GB 5S in hand by 8.15am.

Kudos to Starbucks for the free coffee :)

Well done! Do 3 sell them unlocked?

What time did you start queuing? Hopefully I will be picking up the 6 in the Edinburgh store.

No, you need to pay them for an unlock. Also, when I talked to three they said they won't be selling them outright for a few weeks.

I got the 6.30 train. Queuing for about 7.15, by which point they were already down to 64gb grey only

They don't, but as my contract was up in November it was a small enough upgrade fee.

I quizzed the guy on how many he had in store..."several" was all he would say!

Got the call from my Apple guy at 8AM...All done and dusted without waiting in line...Lead times on the Champagne are a little longer he said, but he's trying to get me one ASAP..I'm good though..still have my 5 although several buyers are now showing interest....Might be without a phone for a week or so, but I hung out for the Champagne!

Got my 32gb Space Grey 5s from Vodafone with my upgrade online. I wanted to chose pick up from store but i wasn't sure if i would be able to pick it up today so just chose shipping. Hoping they do the right thing and send it out tonight for delivery Monday.

I'm sure GTA and Episodes of Boardwalk Empire and Sons of Anarchy can keep me entertained until it comes.

Doesnt seem nearly as much hype for this round of phones then prevous. Queues and forum activity is less.

I walked past the Covent Garden store on my way to work and there was **** load of people there. At a guess i would say at least 1000 people.

Yes but London has it's own little apple ecosystem! I think generally activity on forums and stores seem lower. Looks like the UK had very little 5S in the country either way.
