I haven't gone for the 5s this time but the posts regarding scalpers and resellers does annoy me. I understand it's to make a quick buck but if the majority of the queue are these people then it ruins the experience for those who just want one phone :( Apple needs to tackle this issue :)

Enjoy your phones if you got one :)

Got mine, waited outside Vodafone store for an hour without any real need to they had a decent amount of stock, tho based in the same town as HQ they said they has the most stock in the company

Just to let you guys know you can reserve and collect your iphone from Carphone Warehouse website, although prices start at £590 for 16gb!!

Lots of stores showing stock of the 16gb space grey.

No queue at the Three shop in Newcastle. Got iPhone 5S in space grey. Very easy and very pleased. The shop only had like 20 units in stock of the 5S

Agree - plus it would put an end to all the fake reports of store openings that turned out to be stores like Urban Outfitters!!

I live in New Town but go to Edinburgh Uni so I walk by the building every day and it looks like it has quite a bit to go. I'd say it should be ready for the summer.

Hopefully these 1st orders get delivered 1st week of October at least, or I'll be very annoyed.

I wanted the 64 gold which is the most sparse. Wouldn't dare line up for it, wouldn't be able to take the disappointment that they had sold out when I got to front of queue!

Basingstoke Festival Place shopping centre sold out of all iPhone with about 100 people left in the queue. A lot of people left disappointed (me included)

I was on my way back from the Apple Store, Brighton, at 8 am, where they'd just run out of Space Grey 64 GB reservation tickets.

Three's shop in Churchill Square was just opening with 6 or 7 in the queue. At that time they still had some 64 Space Greys left. They're not selling them on PAYG, though, and their mark-up for contract is egregious!

:(

They were taking reservations in the queue at the Glasgow Buchanan Street Apple Store and they were out of all 5S models except the 64GB Space Grey by around 7.35am, and they were out of all iPhone 5S models by around 7.45am.

I didn't get anything :(

Where did you find the reserve option on Carphone??

Doesnt seem nearly as much hype for this round of phones then prevous. Queues and forum activity is less.

There may not be as much hype but it seems supply is a lot more constrained. I was able to get my iPhone 5 in the Glasgow Buchanan Street Apple Store last year around mid-day. There was a queue all day but there was plentiful stock. This year they were sold out before the doors even opened.

Ordered on-line at 6:45am this morning and have an October 8th-11th delivery date.

Really wish Apple had gone about this differently.

Flawless experience in Brighton today - orderly queues, friendly staff, plenty of stock (i.e. hundreds of people made their way into the store after receiving 'tickets' for their handset of choice). The gold and silver phones sold out quickly, but the space grey phones held their own.

I imagine there were a few disappointed people, but there was no need to fear because on the whole it was great.

I didn't hear of a single person turning up to get the 5c though.

The gold / champagne is growing on me, thanks for the pics.

Was planning on getting the space grey but I do like the gold now was concerned it was too femanine but it's quite subtle.

How you finding the look of it?

It's still in the wrapper ;) I just got back from queuing for 13 Hours haha!

Will take a shower, get the screen protector on and have a play. Maybe even get a better picture!
