No stock in Regent Street either :(

Seriously, what are the chances of getting an unlocked 5S this month? Even a lot people that queued last Friday couldn't get one. Shops receive no stock, and the first orders through the Apple Online Store have 7-10 October delivery (as is my case). And all of this considering that other years they shipped the phone in a bigger number of countries during the first week. Sad times...

Nope, neither stores had any stock.
I think I'm just going to wait until Friday and if there is nothing until then I will just order from CPW for Saturday delivery.

It almost seems like not a single UK store has been restocked since the launch on Friday

Mine is out for delivery now from EE although me or my partner aren't home she has got her brother to go round, anybody know how strict UKMail/EE are with signatures? On the phone when I ordered EE were adamant that I had to be the one to sign for it and nobody else could which seems a bit stupid personally

Just called EE business. My order is still pending

I thought business customers would of took priority unless they are prioritising new customers first? I left O2 to join EE so I'm in the new customer bracket

If Apple didn't have enough stock worldwide, why not delay the launch a week or two?

This has to be the most pathetic launch ever!

If the UK Apple stores don't have any stock I'm feeling a bit better about my 7-10 dispatch time for the online store.

Agreed, I think this has been their worst launch so far. Its all down to the fact they launched in china which has screwed it up for the rest of us. Their priority is penetrating the Chinese market, so rest of the world outside of the US have been neglected.

I'm not going to hold my breath expecting to get hold of one before xmas. If demand is this high and they keep restocking 60-100 phones per store in the UK, they will go within an hour, and those of us at work will not be able to get one.

I was promised by the person who took the order that it would be here by Monday, called Monday; was told it was in transit, called again asking for tracking number; was told the order hasn't even been dispatched and that I shouldn't of been lied to.

This has got to be the worst launch ever, I literally cannot believe it. I'm sitting here waiting on recieving a UK Mail text now, it's kinda' OK that we work from home, I dread what the people who work away from home feel :-/.

I'd really like to know more about how Apple distribute the devices to countries, stores, carriers and online orders...

I previously used Giffgaff in uni but the service went down twice when I was on it. There was a blackspot meaning I actually couldn't get a signal in some places.

I'm currently on O2 and the signal on the way home from work isn't too great. Hoping Three are better. :(
The trouble is no-one can say which is the best network for anyone except themselves, because everyone's experience is different depending on locations and movements. I had years with O2 but moved to EE because of no 3G at work, and none planned either. Then I had to cut my EE contract short, it worked great at work with 3G, but I got No Service half the time at home. Now I'm on Three, it works everywhere I go, it's cheap, fast for 3G and has unlimited data. But it may not work so well for everyone. Hope you are lucky :)

Is there an issue with Apple delivering to a work address which is different to the billing address ? They have taken my money and there has been no suggestion that they cant send it to my work address.

This.

And this is why SIM-free is worth the wait!

I don't think it's a case of it being an issue with Apple delivering to a work address, but it's frustrating to have a delivery timeframe of 2 weeks and you only work 3-5 days a week, it's possible to not be at work on delivery day, you'd be relying on people letting you know if you've received mail, then go to pick it up.

However, if you order with carriers; they'll most likely only ship to the same address which is attached to your bank account (for security reasons) and sometimes funny about who signs for the phone.

Probably because its an upgrade from sim only to a 24 month contract and not a new line.

So has anyone been successful with getting their CPW phones unlocked?

Three have taken payment from me, assured me that the phone will be unlocked (I didn't actually ask for assurance, but I suppose they've had a lot of concerned customers!) and it should be unlocked by Thursday. I will update when I get the confirmation text, but both myself and another user have gone through 3 with no issues so far.
