Popped into Bluewater as I was driving past, still no stock at all of 5s.

Dont worry that it still says "Processing". The next step is preparing for dispatch.

None so far, but expect mid October to early November depending on how late you ordered.
They either have the estimated dates or are guessing if it says just October.

Good point! I should have said:
"I assume 5S supplies are constrained due to some techincal problems preventing them from building up a large enough pre-launch stock"!
Apple are usually bang on with what they call Estimates but no way guaranteed as expected. Had my MBP delivered within the 'Estimated' time but haven't ordered anything else from Apple direct recently.

No wonder the expected delivery slots were Oct 7-10 right from the start, since there was no stock to ship straight away in the UK. Maybe the factory will keep running, maybe not.

Well, I've been away from this thread while waiting...
I ordered at literally 0:05. Did anyone else who ordered about the same time get an update on the tracking, since it's been more or less static "7-10 business days" for the past two business days. It's a bit like a "be back in five minutes" sign with no reference point or countdown

7-10 days from the date you ordered. It's static and won't change.

Can i ask, what if you're already a Three customer on SIM Only plan. Can you use that or does it have to be a PAYG SIM? Also can someone provide the link to the unlock request page please.
I have the Apple 7-10 day thing. I ordered at 00:01. Fed up so ordered a 64GB off CW at 10:30 last night and this afternoon got a text and email saying my order has been dispatched and will be delivered by DPD and also been given a tracking number! What the hell's going on at Apple?!
Going from past experience, Apple tend to ship and then bring forward the shipping estimate.
However I'm a little *raised eyebrow* about the lack of pre-order for the iPhone 5S. Surely for us Brits, the web orders are effectively pre-orders by any other name?

On the 20th September, I think Apple sold a load of iPhone 5S' to UK customers that they didn't actually have in stock.
I reckon Apple are still manufacturing the batch of iPhone 5S' for UK web orders before shipping from Asia.

You can unlock on contract after 60 days, but with a payg, you can unlock right away. If you've only just started your contract, you're probably best shoving a payg sim for a day or two and unlocking that way
They've been very fast both times I've unlocked, so it shouldn't be a long term thing. Not sure if your contract will link to the IMEI number or something to prevent you unlocking once you've inserted your contract sim though...you'd have to try it and see!
