How and why are you getting an unlocked phone, putting in one sim, filling in a form then putting another sim in?

The CPW iPhones lock to the network of the first sim you put in. I put my 3 sim in (I wanted to use 3 anyway, but wanted it unlocked), so it was locked to the 3 network.

3 have an unlock form on their support page. They then sent me a text about 4-5 hours to confirm the unlock, but that I needed a sim on another network to complete the process. It said to put in the sim (T-mob) and connect to iTunes.

I had to enter my iTunes details on my phone again, but after that it was complete now works with other networks.

CPW phones are locked, he didn't have an unlocked phone.

EE's website now has ALL colours and sizes in stock, including the elusive Gold.

Thought i should share, confirmed it with a chat agent.

To clarify, online chat says EE -online- store has every colour/size in stock now.

When calling up, Phone reps can't check stock, don't know if their inventory is different.

I worked for a section of what it now EE. Suffice to say, there are people walking the call centre with forked tongues .

Some people will say anything to get a sale agreed...

£16 a month* = £16 x 12 = £192
Unlocked from Apple £709
TOTAL £901

i.e. EE want a £311 premium. I can wait another 16 days for my Apple order (due by 10 Oct)!

Three don't look much better:

Cheapest deal for 64GB iPhone 5S:
£47 for 24 months = £1128
£99 for the phone
TOTAL £1227 (i.e. even more than EE!)

Says "In Stock" but then delivers 8th October i.e. in the AppleStore 7-10 day timeframe.

No, you missed the first group if it just says "October".

When would dispatch have to happen for an October 7th delivery? Going abroad for a week on the 8th so may change delivery address.

Not unless it states that, 7-10th Oct were for the first batch, anything later just says October.

If you look again, October is be your dispatch estimate at the moment, delivery would be any time after that, i.e. middle-late October or November early.

Unlikely. The 7-10 October dates were for orders placed between 00:01 and about 08:00, after thet the delivery estimates just said "October", so I guess they will arrive between 10th and the end of October.

Your 64gb 5 is worth more than £300. I got £350 for my 32gb.

Yes it's possible but no one can answer that with any certainty.

While possible, I would say extremely unlikely.

Not only does Apple have to fulfill these orders they also have to build stock for the next 90 countries launching before year end.

I think supply is going to be tight until year end.

I've bitten the bullet and placed an order online with EE.

They are claiming they have all models in stock.

Unfortunately I selected gold 64GB by mistake instead of silver 64GB. I'm going to need to give them a call tomorrow to see if I can change gold for silver...

My Silver 5S from 3, which I ordered early friday morning, has been dispatched and will arrive tomorrow. Estimated delivery date went from 18th of october, to the 8th, and now tomorrow.
