UK iPhone 5s and 5c Thread

I ordered a white 64GB from EE on Tuesday evening and I received the delivery this morning (Thursday).

If you're in a hurry to get gold / silver then EE could be a good option.

I think sometimes they are restocked during the rest of the day (someone mentioned about some restocking last weekend in Covent Garden), but doesn't happen often AFAIK.
 
Just sat on hold for 25 minutes to the Solihul Applestore, counting down the calls ahead of me from eight, down to one call ahead of me then.... silence :mad:

I assume the lack of posts on here this morning mean yesterday's restock was a one off?

Or have you all caved in an bought from Carphone Warehouse? :rolleyes:
 
Popped into Brighton this morning and was told they had the 5s but were only selling them on contract and not SIM free. :(

I may pop in again tomorrow and see if that is still the case.

Presumably an attempt to prevent scalping. Would have thought that online reservations with an Apple ID and photo.address ID would be a less extreme way of acheiving the same result.
 
Any Apple enthusiast here willing to help a Portuguese Apple enthusiast get an iPhone 5s? I have been seeing ebay, but refise to pay and support scalpers.
Also looked at CPW but it needs a UK SIM card...
If I was at the UK and could get one from CPW, put a Pay'n'go 3 SIM and unlock, but I am currently in Portugal and won't be in the UK until maybe December.
My wife really wants my iPhone 5... :)

A lot of online orders to borderlinx are getting cancelled, but not all.
My order from 20-09 9:00 (gmt) is still processing and estimated delivery is 08 - 11 october.
 
Called my local Apple store

Wednesday was their first delivery since launch and they sold out by 1030. They have not had a delivery today, yet.

Hi.
I have a UK address. No problem. Just nobody to buy me one there as the people living in London are my grandparents. Still in great shape for the age, but buying tech products, queuing or unlocking phones... Out of their league. :)

Apple Store UK iPhone 5S stock updates thread

Hey all,

I was just thinking, whilst calling around various different Apple Stores to check stock, and being in a queue of more than 8 people; the majority of us are calling for the same thing. 'Did you receive any stock today'.

So I thought instead of us all sitting on the lines ringing the same Apple Store to be today 'yes/no' we could keep each other updated n save eachother time.

I propose to format as 'AppleStoreName/TimeCalled/StockY\N'

I'll fire off:

Milton Keynes, 10am, no stock in delivery today.

Currently on the phone for Leicester now and will post again.

The fastest way to get one would be indeed be by queuing every day :)

You can always just order one online and ship it to them, if you can get your hands on one sooner you can just cancel your order.
Maybe it will get released in Portugal next month, or maybe not until December, at least, if you order one online, you will know you will have it before November :)
 
Update for EE orders...

I just received my second text of 'Just to let you know we haven't forgotten about your iPhone 5s order...'

I also checked my bank statement today and realised that EE/T-Mobile took a payment of 1p.

Their story? It was my deposit for keeping me in the queue...

... Right.

It says 'tendered for delivery' at 9.45am yesterday. No real idea what that means but it has been in Edinburgh for 2 days! I assume it means Syncreon put it in the mail/post yesterday.

If I buy one and CPW can I activate it with a Three Pay as you GO sim card but being physical in Portugal?

Not willing to pay more, buy on contract or having to unlock..I'm still waiting for the online order to process (I ordered 32gb, gold).

I'm pretty impatient, so I've done some online research that might help with the shipping estimates

My point is still that our phones will get shipped on or before the 30th of Sept. and arrive by the end of next week.
Hell, I wouldn't even be surprised if they got shipped tomorrow or on Saturday (both dates who would perfectly fit into the 7-10 business/ working days).

I think most of us only really want to finally have a tracking number instead of only reading vague estimates.
 
The 5s case I ordered at launch just arrived via Royal Mail.

Looks like the delivery estimates are accurate...
 
I ordered a space grey 32gb 5s last Saturday night and it was delivered on the following Monday. The O2 stores in Chester were telling people to order online due to a 3-6 week wait list.

It wouldnt perfectly fit at all. Tomorrow will be 5/6 working days since ordering. not 7.

obviously considering that friday (20th) and saturdays could count as working /business days, and taking into consideration that they DID count as business days in the us for dispatch ;)

if they don't ship tomorrow, saturday or monday then apple might as well could've given us a 'october' delivery estimate as well, because of the holidays in china (oct 1st - 7th) I kinda doubt that the phones would make it to us on the 7th or 10th then.
