Does anyone have any experience of Carphone Warehouse's deliver to store and whether it's done the next day?! I really want my phone on Saturday but can't order until tomorrow due to payday - there's a £7.50 Saturday delivery charge if I get it delivered to my house so was wondering if I ordered first thing tomorrow is it likely it'll be delivered to store for Saturday?

Call them and ask?

So I'm wondering if I get my originally sim-free 5s from CPW but now locked on 3 replaced on warranty by Apple will the replacement be unlocked?

youll get exactly the handset you hand in
ie a locked handset for a locked handset

But if I get it unlocked by three they will give me one that is unlocked?

I don't think so, when my 3GS was unlocked by O2 I had to get a replacement on warranty from Apple, they gave me an unlocked 3GS.

Remember, the unlocking is done from Apples servers - if they receive an unlocked iphone for warranty trade then they are gonna give you an unlocked one back.

The activation servers have a record of the phone's status and that determines what state the new phone will be handed to you. If you came in unlocked you leave unlocked, if you came in locked, you leave locked.

I managed to grab a phone at the Bristol Cabot Circus store about 6:30ish last night. There weren't any queues and it was all very chilled. In fact I think there were probably about half a dozen customers across the two floors.

It's a nice place to go at that time of night, as I was able to sit upstairs in plenty of space and use their wi-fi to do a full iCloud restore.

Sorry to see how it was all very stressful on launch night for lots of people though; I definitely recommend either strolling into a store about a week later or just ordering online if you can :)

Hey all, ordered my Gold iPhone 16GB from EE yesterday, due for delivery today. It seems EE are shipping out phones for new customers and ignoring their past ones... http://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Apple-iOS-Devices/iPhone-5s-delivery-timeframes/td-p/52928/page/29 I have added below my story which I also posted on the EE forum linked. Letting you guys know if anyone else wants to try their luck at getting a gold iPhone sooner...

Hey, thought I would share my experience. I ordered iPhone 5s Gold 16GB, midnight from Apple release day with a 2+ week wait time. So headed to store at 3am launch day, queued for 7 hours, did not get an iPhone in store due to no stock. (Loads of people cut in front, all buying 2 phones each, no caucasian people ahead of me (Not being racist, just a fact)).

Saw iPhones were in stock at EE yesterday so placed an order. Received an email saying allow up to 30 days for delivery.... So spent today contacting eBay sellers to pick one up today. Arranged to pick a phone up from someone local today, called EE to cancel my order and they said it had already been despatched so is to late to cancel?! Then received a text from UKMail with consignment number. So had to cancel my arrangement with eBay member.

So happy as a new EE customer that I am getting a very rare phone, very quickly after a lot of trouble. But having read this forum, I won't be sticking around once the contract ends....

New customer.
Ordered iPhone 16GB Gold.
Order Placed: 25/09, 16:30
Out for delivery: 26/09, 11:30
Due for delivery: 27/09, 10:30-16:30.

I think you were VERY lucky - which capacity/colour (and you say a phone, you mean a 5S?)

Was at Regent Street this morning and they did not receive any stock and they said none of the London stores did either.

I've phoned around Lakeside, Bluewater, Kingston upon Thames, Bromley and both Westfield stores an hour ago and all said they had no stock and no idea when a delivery was coming in. Some just told me to order online for October delivery. I didn't want to say I'd already pre ordered and it's due 7-10 October and that I'm just being impatient :D

Just rang white city and they confirmed they had stock this morning majority was space grey. All gone now.

Well if they're alternating stock delivery between westfield stores and central london stores it could mean that central london could get something tomorrow.
By central london I'm referring to regent street and covent garden

Haha thanks

I went to White City as I wanted to look at the phones after an appointment (I left Regent Street before they opened). The chap I spoke to said they had sold stock but they hadn't received any in the delivery. That was about 11:00am.

Called CPW hoping to get them to rescind the £50 premium on the 32GB model. First of all the women didn't believe me. Then came back and basically said 'yeah we jacked up the price and reduced it within 72hrs. Deal with it!'

This is why i'd never bought any phone from CPW until this weekend. They simply never cease to amaze me with how annoying they can be.

i phoned in this morning, they couldnt refund the £50 but said I could return my current 32GB for a refund and buy a new one at the lower price. just been in store (birmingham pallasades) and done that. Stupid way of doing business, even the guy in store though so but he couldn't override what the online people said.

I suspect after most stores receiving stock yesterday, it was unlikely that more stock would be arriving today. I was in London for an appointment so thought I'd chance it. There were some obvious scalpers there but some left before Apple came down the queue (perhaps they were recognised or were going to try other stores).

Thats weird because i know someone who just missed the queue by a couple of people this was when the store opened and the person on the phone confirmed they did get some today.

Think i may try central london stores tomorrow.

I ordered my 64gb white 8.40am this morning from CPW.

Will I get my phone tomorrow?

I ordered online through CPW at about 9am this morning (Space Grey 64GB) using their deliver in store service. Just had confirmation its been dispatched using the DPD courier. Hopefully this means it will be in store tomorrow.

From speaking to them on the phone they use the same dispatch process/courier for home deliveries, so I would guess it is likely they are all on a similar delivery time frame as mine - assuming they have the stock of whatever you are ordering....
