I noticed some people who had ordered the iphone plus yesterday were getting calls to say they had been delayed until October. When you try to order now the website says 3rd October.
Has anyone on here ordered a plus and not got the call?

When I ordered 2 of the 16gb I was told 19th and have received no call about a delay. I hope all the plus variants have not all been delayed without notification.

You should clarify that this on Three where people including me got calls saying delayed. What was ridiculous was after the call their website was still promoting 19th September delivery several hours after and was only changed this morning to October. I ordered the 64gb version but the 16gb version is the least popular version so you might be lucky and still be okay. I would recommend ringing them to check though as I ordered on the phone before it was even available online so I must have been one of the first and still didn't get one for launch. So they probably didn't have any 64gb for launch or only a few that will go to stores.
 
You have to buy a 'leadership' plan, then you can add a 'sharer' plan to it.

So for example, the one we're getting is £37.99 a month for the leadership plan, which will be unlimited minutes, texts and 20gb 4g data, including the triple 4g speeds they advertise.

You then can add sim free sharers to the lead contract for £12 (12 month contract) per sim. You can have up to 5. So as our current contracts are around £34, £22, £22, respectively, we are saving about 20 pounds per month and they're getting better allowances (my contract at £34 was unlimited data/texts and 500 minutes but with three who I have been having reception issues with lately).

However, the lead contract at £37.99 has to take out a handset. You can choose any handset you want for the contract. So in theory you could just choose a free handset to save money if you wanted or pay the difference for an iPhone 6 etc. In our case the person who is going on the lead contract is selling their iPhone 5 to get an iPhone 6 for around £70 factoring in the exchange price of the ip5.

It took me a while to understand, but I hope this helps and I've explained it as best as I can. Lemme know if you have more questions though!

I was thinking if putting rest of family on it, but they only pay £12.90 Three unlimited data, £12 500Mb, and a PAYG.

It's the extra SIM non leadership that are more than I thought. £12 SIMO you can get on Three with own decent data.

Obviously works for some depending on what paying now. It would give me a better sig in certain places I lose now. But even just for me it's going to be £15 more a month.

Is that the cheapest extra SIMs you can add?
 
Ordered by Iphone 6 64gb gold... at 8.40am - Expected delivery 19th Sept, but status is still stuck at "process item"...:(
 
Just checked and my iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Gold is still saying "processing order". I recieved conformation order at 08:33 and it still says it delivery for the 19/9. Also can't check the production week either. Didn't get an anti-fraud call yesterday and haven't checked money has been put on hold. Do you think I should start worrying that the delivery times will begin to slip?

Has the money been held/taken out of your account?
 
I have never ever had my contactless cards not work. Used them in dozens of places hundreds of times. It's uber simple technology. Where do you get 20% failure figure from?
From my personal use. I have 2 cards from different institutions and as a guess 1 in 5 attempts fail. Normally says that I have presented more than one card or authorisation failed. Used to be only about a 50% hit rate with my HSBC corporate card but that has improved since I got a new one.

The shop assistants say the same thing "that happens all the time, just use the chip and PIN instead"

Check your apple order page, there might be a msg telling you to confirm your payment or something, I had that yesterday morning after I made my order.
 
Well, after thinking I was home and dry after yesterday, I'm now completely confused with where I stand.

I ordered the 64GB 6 in space grey at 48.50 per month from Voda. After the order was processed - and confirmed - I had buyers remorse and wish I had gone for the 53.50 plan with more data and 24 months of spotify as opposed to 6. I spoke with an online agent who told me to process a new order and then call in and delete the original.

I went ahead and did that, though never received a confirmation email. I rang up to see what was going on and the guy couldn't find my 'second' order. He said he'd cancel the original and then take me through the process again. So got half way through and then it was his hometime so he 'transferred' me until the office was closed so I finished yesterday with a cancelled order, one in limbo and a half completed one...

I rang up this morning to try and sort the mess out to be told there was nothing on my file other than the cancelled order. So AGAIN I pre-ordered the 64GB @ 53.50 but AGAIN I haven't had any confirmation (apart from the nice guy on the phone saying it had been processed)

Not a great start to my Vodafone experience. I've no idea when/if I'll be receiving a phone (or 3...) It's partly my own fault for changing my mind, but christ, if I had known it would be this confusing I'd have held off for a bit before requesting a change...

Called Apple and the money has been authorised, will have to wait. It's still scheduled for delivery on the 19th.
 
I'm now quite chuffed that threes new tariffs are so high.

I now get to pickup my apple sim free on release day at a time I choose (no waiting for delivery).

I get to keep my super £12.90 plan with all you can eat data. I was all set to go for a 24 month contract but they are just too high..

Anyone else gone for store pickup? Lots of chatter about deliveries.

They even still have most models in stock for pickup (no plus, they went instantly).
