Quick question. I've got an iPhone 6 plus reserved for collection at the Apple Store on Friday. I've just noticed that my upgrade date isn't until the 20th! Typical! Are you able to upgrade early and pay a fee in the Apple Store or would I need to go through my carrier?

Yeah you should be able too upgrade, Apple or who ever wont send you away with a day left if they can get the money then and there.

I can see Three going to be next... seeing that they released an app that make wifi call using your mins if you have no network reception...

02 already have an app as well, they just don't work as seamlessly as Apple implementation.

I managed to get x2 iPhones 6, quoted for delivery on the 19th! Ordered an Iphone 6 Silver 64GB and an iPhone 6 Plus Silver 64GB, which I was really happy about.

Then I got a text and a call from Barclays yesterday saying that they felt the orders were fraudulent and cancelled both of the payments!!!!!!

Can you all imagine the argument I had with them! When they said I would have to re-order the items I went mental! They asked if I couldn't just order from Amazon and they would pay the extra it would cost. Lol......

Luckily I checked the order online after Barclays stupidity and it said the payment had failed and gave me the option to use a different means of payment. Checked with Apple this morning and they said all was ok and new payment had worked. The guy said a lot of banks block the payments quoting fraud!

Yeah you can upgrade, your allowed to within the last month of your contract.

I think the actual contract ends in October but I can upgrade from the 20th September. I know you can pay a fee to upgrade before that date if you go through the network, but not sure if the same would apply in the Apple Store?

Ya I am sure the Three App wont work as seamless as Apple's implementation either, I haven't used it yet.

Maybe I will call into the ee shop on the way to apple just incase I can get hold of one from them. I can't believe the upgrade date is the day after!

I'm a bit disappointed with the whole pre-order process this year.

It took me around 50 minutes until I was finally able to get on to the website to pre-order an iPhone 6 Plus 64GB (yes I was using Chrome, Safari and even my mobile browser which was the one that finally let me through in the end).

Because of what time it was when I put the pre-order through (8:50 ish), it has meant that my delivery timescale for my order has slipped to 3-4 weeks (10th - 17th October).

Absolutely gutted when I saw that. Really hoping it doesn't slip further as i'm going away on the 18th!!!

You will need to check with your network first and see if they will allow it, the upgrade will fail if you aren't within your upgrade eligibility, even by a day. I wouldn't go by what someone in an Apple Store says, you will feel awful if you are refused next Friday.

They are, they also offer Pay as you Go SIM if you want it included... I don't see upgrade or contract option.

I have received confirmation for both orders with Vodafone, quite soon after making my pre-orders via upgrade.

Excellent, just this minute received email. Phew! And despite definitely selecting silver it's confirmed as grey. Hey ho, good job I'm not fussed.

And delivery estimated 19th. We'll see...

Anyone order a 6 plus from O2 over the phone and expecting their device to be delivered on launch day? I've been told via twitter that they aren't SENDING devices out until release day. And there may be several weeks delay in getting the plus.

I ordered at 10am yesterday.

It was an option on the reservation page. It said with carrier tarrif. I double checked in store and they confirmed. I have reserved in mk just incase my three order doesn't come through in time.

I was thinking if putting rest of family on it, but they only pay £12.90 Three unlimited data, £12 500Mb, and a PAYG.


It's the extra SIM non leadership that are more than I thought. £12 SIMO you can get on Three with own decent data.

Obviously works for some depending on what paying now. It would give me a better sig in certain places I lose now. But even just for me it's going to be £15 more a month.

Is that the cheapest extra SIMs you can add?

I ordered a plus 64gb online with Three within minutes of it going live online. No call yet! I'll give them a call this morning and post what they say.

Just off the phone to 3 and to say i'm fuming is an understatement! My order is delayed until 3rd October, despite my3 site still showing a date of 19th. They blamed Apple! I did eventually get a month rental as compensation, the first offer was a £10 credit! Still weighing up my options on what to do next.
