I may be wrong, or maybe Apple have changed the wording, but I'm 99% certain the other day my order status was 'preparing for dispatch'. I've just checked now and it's 'preparing for shipment' - effectively the same wording, but still!

Mine still says the former.

I love this thread and always feel as if we all become a big iPhone family

until 2 days after launch when we all lose interest in it and the forums dies for another year :D

I enjoy the week leading up to delivery, the deciphering of serial numbers, hacking UPS to find tracking numbers etc etc. Then seeing the pics of boxes arriving.

I know Im sad

If you are sad then I'm the same. It's our fun & we enjoy it! :D

I'm hoping I'll get mine Thursday! It's going to my work address and we get regular shipments, so perhaps a higher chance it'll accidentally get loaded for delivery early.

I hate using my phone without a case but it'll have to be naked until the 3rd party folk flood Amazon with cheapies. Not paying Apple £25+ for a case.

get the £35 one then! ;)

I have the red 5S leather, and they are good cases thigh have to say, probably go for the same again

Hahahaha, ya once everyone gets their iPhone's I am sure this thread will die until the next year pre-orders if not in 2 yrs when a complete new redesign iPhone is out.

Yes the week thats leading up to delivery day is almost always looking around Apple site and UPS for Tracker details and checking it every hr or so.

Go iPhone Team Community! GO!

Thank you for the bigger photo! looking awesome the size!

its a good crack, and last year me and a mate met someone from here whilst we queued up for the 5S. Horrible experience with scalpers.

I sent a fuming email to apple about it and had a call from the store manager the next day apologising profusely. Hopefully they'll do a better set up this time round.

Thats why I preordered Id always wanted to queue up but that took all the fun out of it for me.

It's exactly like family. Get together for a special time like Christmas then go our separate ways until next year haha.

I'm probably going to get this. Not decided on colour yet, and I'll wait for the reviews of folk who ordered it already to see if it definitely fits!

problem is I now want a mac pro, despite having no business use for it at all
damn you :apple:

Yeah I've worked overtime to be able to save up for this so I'm damn well gonna enjoy it! :D

I am really stuck on cases, want to buy something so i have protection on day one. Would also like a screen protector.

is anyone else going to buy applecare + ?

I fancy having the security of accidental damage cover, imagine how much it'll cost to change the screen on the iPhone 6+

If you log into the store in the US - it says Preparing for Shipment
If you log into the store in the UK - it says Preparing for Dispatch

So guess it's just a US/UK difference in terminology :)

Good spot :p feel like an idiot now lol

I believe this is due to the language of the site you are using.

UK Store -> 'My Orders' -> 'Preparing for dispatch'
US Store -> 'My Orders' -> 'Preparing for shipment'

Never did, never will, and never dropped my phone or has any scratches through out all the phones I have owned, just look after them and keep them well cleaned & steady on your hands.

Ordered mine at 8:30am Friday from the UK apple store. Mine says dispatched, 7-10 delivery.

Delivery date expected between 29th sept and the 10th oct..

Must be on a very slow boat from china ha ha

I bought applecare + on my iPhone 5S last year. It still has a year to run. I guess I can't transfer it to my new 6 or pass it on to whoever buys my 5s?

problem is I'm in construction so its at a high risk of my fat hands doing something stupid. Wish i could have it with nothing but last time i did that just dust etc getting into my pockets scratched the phone to hell

I suppose i could go without but get applecare + then if it gets wrecked I could "drop" it

I suppose in your line of work, having Apple Care makes a lot of sense, I'd probably be doing the same if I was also in construction.
