Morning all,

New work week; looking forward for the flight sot start leaving China!

My two iP6s are prepareing for shipment for delivery on 19/09. Sad to hear about P4U.

Any ones phone shipped by Apple yet?

Not yet, been trying to track my package through UPS' & Fedex's track by reference feature, has worked for some on other threads. Haven't heard of it working for anyone in the UK though.

Does anyone know what carrier typically delivers iPhone mass launches?

I hope those affected by Phones4U going into administration consider which network they sign up to carefully. The decision by EE to end their contract on Friday, the busiest phone launch of the year really is shocking. Surely they could have done it a month ago, or even in October? The timing really is a poor way to treat prospective customers.

Not sure if it's been said but the official line from Phones 4 U is existing contracts continue as normal, and if your order has been dispatched you will still get it.

The way to find out if it has is by calling them. (Fingers crossed it may be beyond cancelling like orders from Apple are)

UPS, TNT or UK Mail (Not sure about TNT still but UPS and UKMail did the last few launches). They don't use FedEx in the UK.

They normally come from a distribution centre like Syncreon who use TNT, UPS and UKMail.

To track anything sent out by Syncreon Postal

Go to https://seal.syncreon.com/synview-o...ESSIONID=9975541D-F45D-928C-13EA-6886CBDBBD68 enter the delivery number (not tracking) and your apple order number
The folk on this thread normally break that website every launch week ... I'm sure Syncreon's IT dept is looking forward to their overtime.

What's the delivery number? I only have my order number

You'll have it when it's shipped and you can click track on the apple website. I just tested it with a case.

Poor guys, time to book a week holiday I reckon!

My credit card hold has hit my statement today so it is a full charge, not just a hold. That would suggest that they will officially ship soon.

Probably too late now, but I've seen people talking about ordering phone and accessories together and then wanting to cancel because the accessory might delay the order... It won't!

I ordered the iPhone 6 (64gb) with the black leather case and I can confirm they are shipping separately. My case shipped yesterday.

I have went through all EE Iphone 6+ 64gb contract options. There are some deals, which are not that bad actually, apart from the 2 years commitment.

Data - monthly - upfront - total over 2 y

20gb - 38.99 - 409 - 1344
10gb - 33.99 - 459 - 1274
5gb - 30.99 - 459 - 1202

20gb 43.99 - 359 - 1414
10gb - 38.99 - 379 - 1314
5gb - 35.99 - 379 - 1242

from here onwards the higher monthly payments are increasing the total value over 2 years and are not real worth mentioning.

Considering the 6+ costs £699 outright, the difference to my preferred (£1274) option over 2 years would mean I need to get a Sim Only deal for £23.95. I want to stick with EE as you can not beat the coverage imho. I also dont want to go below 10GB, if I am being honest.

My other option would be to take up my reserved Iphone 6 (not 6+) for £619, that would mean that i need a Sim Only deal for around £20.

Does anyone know prices for the Sim Only on EE for MORE than 4GB?

Doesnt really help that I am not sure which phone I want... :(

Exactly the same here, phone still preparing to dispatch whilst my case (midnight blue) shipped yesterday as well.

EE simo deals are disgusting. £23 for anything with a decent data allowance. Three does an all in simo for £18.

I know, but as I said, I really would like to stick with EE. I can not complain at all. Had great Customer Service, great coverage etc.

I am one of those who is happy to pay (a bit) more if the service is accordingly.

Mines said Preparing for Dispatch since about 11am on Friday now.

But I know it's all meaningless as to when it dispatches as it won't come early.

Just thought i would make you guys aware of my troubles last time when having things shipped to me from Apple through UPS.

The short story is... You or someone HAS to be in to sign for the delivery.

I ordered a macbook about 18 months ago and they would not leave it with a neighbour, around the back of my property, with a local drop off and collect point or anything at all even if i left a signed note (They said it was too valuable, which i suppose is a fair point). They were also impossible to phone up and get hold of. In the end i had to drive to their delivery depot which is over 40 miles away in the evening to collect my item, needless to say i was beyond pissed off.

So if you're getting your new phone delivered by UPS do all you can to make sure someone is at home, otherwise you might be in for a long drive at rush hour...

Still preparing for dispatch here too, I'm not worried. Confident it will arrive on Friday :).

I've booked the day off!

What is everyone planning to do regarding buying cases?

Personally, I've purchased a cheap case from eBay for the iPhone 6 Plus, which should offer sufficient protection in the first few weeks while I wait for case developers to develop their lines of iPhone 6 cases. I'm not usually one to have a case, and I usually go for a pouch, but I'm going to wait until I can see what's available before I make a decision on this.

I would like to go for an Apple leather iPhone 6 Plus case, but as I went for the Gold iPhone, I'm not sure which colour case would go well with it.

I think I'll sit tight for the meantime!

So have i! Just hope it actually gets here on Friday or I'm a bit screwed as I'm back to work on Monday...

Anyone ordered Saturday? Not worried about getting it Friday and have a 2-3 weeks deli every schedule but not had the money taken (ring fenced) yet, is that normal?
