I have just spoken to an Apple rep. (Im overly eager) they said even though they deffinately do not have a set timescale for dispatch most orders that are 'preparing for dispatch' for delivery on the 19/09 it will begin late this afternoon into the evening. They only use UPS or UkMail for deliveries.

I suppose that once the initial rush is over they will be dispatching on a rolling daily basis. My estimated delivery is 29th Sept - 2nd Oct.

Do you think there's a chance to get it delivered before the estimated date?

I'd say so, too - but I think most people are getting more phone than they bargained for. I also tried to get a Plus, but after having read all the reviews today, I'm glad they were sold out so quickly, forcing me to get a 6 instead. The Plus is enormous - the 4.7" seems to be the ideal size. Slightly better camera (only helps you for video, apparently) and slightly longer battery life, but far less pocketable and tedious to hold.

Frankly, the size doesn't matter to me and I am glad i went with the plus, in fact once i get my plus i'll be getting the 6 for my partner, she told me to hold off until I get my plus so she can decide which she'll go for... i'll assuming the 6... tiny hands she has.

Yes I do. Maybe only a couple of days but who knows. Mine is due for delivery 29/9-2/10. Would not be to surprised if it came late the previous week. Don't bank on it though.
I suppose that it all depends how fast the Chinese can turn them out and how many they have stockpiled.

Seeing how fast the 6+ Dispatch time went up in very short time, I'd say the 6+ is the most popular.

I think it's more to do with lack of stock. As some people were saying the 6 Plus would have a delayed launch.

I have had many excellent interactions with DPD except for the last one where the driver was "too busy" to deliver and they came back the next day. What made it worse was due to their live tracking I knew he passed within a mile of my house.


This wasn't an Apple delivery but it was something that I needed urgently.

Same here, delivery driver attempt delivery to neighbours, who weren't in and left calling card. Saw him drive off and called call centre to get him to come back but he was "too busy". It was also something very urgent. Not their biggest fan.

My iphone 6+ isn't coming til October, but my midnight blue case was dispatched via Syncreon earlier in the week. By trying lots of couriers, I've found its final delivery is by UK Mail.

Just for reference, might be of use to someone - apple parcel ID and postcode work on the tracking page.

I'm 5.8" and I have a Galaxy S4 at the moment with a 5" screen. I don't have any problem using it with 1 hand
I think 5.5" iPhone is pretty big if you come from an iPhone 5/5s (even bigger from a 4/4s), but next year, after 1 year using a 4.7", you'll want a bigger one! 5.2" would be probably the perfect size, 5.5" is a bit extreme but not too much after all

I'd say the massive amount of pre-orders for the plus played a major role.

Judging it's going to be madness on Apple servers tonight iOS 8 launch.
I really do hope my Phone has no problems activating this friday.
Last year took me all night to activate my iPad.

Something to bear in mind, I've been told by various courier drivers over the years (TNT, UPS etc) that Apple have very specific instructions with them not to deliver to neighbours etc. They said it was a major pain for them as it means numerous redelivery attempts usually.

True... but short stock + high pre-order's for the plus compared to the 6 is a rough idea that the plus has the highest most want of the two.

None of us is actually in a position say how low the stock levels were or indeed how high the orders were for the 6+, let alone make a comparison with the iPhone 6. Just saying.
