UK iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Thread

Just been speaking to my local UPS driver and joked that he would be extremely busy on Friday delivering iPhones. His reply was they are bringing in extra drivers to deliver them all on Saturday. This is for the Southampton area. I can't see that Apple would allow them to let so many people down, especially if they are taking time off work to stay in and wait. :(
 
My money was taken on 15th. Still showing as 'preparing to dispatch' with "Delivery: 19/9 in most areas by Standard Shipping".

I'm waiting on tenterhooks for the dispatched email!

Man, I wish Beyzacases would release more cases for the iPhone 6 Plus, currently 2 they have now is not what I want :(

Anyone here has an experience with "GripGo Universal Car Phone Mount" ?
 
Just placing an order at work via a company i know uses UPS for a pre-9am delivery on Friday, to ensure early delivery (although i suspect they may use a team of dedicated phone delivery guys and this plan will fail):rolleyes:

My iPhone 5 notification was at 21:21 the day before delivery. On that basis, I doubt those people waiting for orders from Apple.com should expect anything before tomorrow afternoon / evening.
 
Just heard back from Spigen.
They said the majority of their cases are now up as a 'pre-order' instead of being available to ship is because they sold out of their first batch of cases and are getting daily stock of them in again.

I was assured all cases and screen protectors would fit the iPhone 6/6 Plus.

Ya, I was looking at eBay for their case, most say pre-order, and delivery between 26th & 30th.

Glad I got my spigen case and screen protectors already for my 6 Plus :)

Just come off the phone from CPW. I'm really unhappy. I placed my order for an upgrade at 8am last Friday for a 6 plus silver 64Gb, got an email confirmation, and later that evening an order acceptance email. I hadn't heard anything, so just phoned them. It's been delayed until the 13th October!!!

I don't even qualify for the £25 cash back that you can get now for being patient! They tell me to cancel it and reorder it.

I hate them. Never ordering from them again. Why didn't they contact me and why are people who ordered the same model from them after me getting theirs on Friday?

I've promised my reserved phone at the Apple Store to someone else!

Mine just changed to this too, with the same delivery dates. If it's changed so soon do you reckon it means we'll be getting them earlier? I ordered early on Friday and was surprised to have such a long wait time...

Now I can't cancel, I won't go to the Meadowhall store on Friday to collect my reservation, but I'm hoping this will arrive in the next week or so...

+1 for DPD, always arrive on time, reliable and keep you well updated with your delivery (inc. live updates of where you are in the queue, name of driver and where the driver is currently on the map).
 
Does anyone know if I'll be able to change my delivery address with DPD to my work address?
Just found out I'm going to be at work from 12-10!! Don't want to miss it!

I reckon the majority will go out Friday still.

Same here. I have estimated deliver for 29 Sept - 2 Oct, after ordering early on Friday.

These dates haven't changed but my status is now 'preparing for dispatch' and my Amex has been charged. Ooooooooooh

Do you think it might come earlier than expected. Ordered at 09:14

Can you or anyone tell me how good Spigen Glas.r screen protectors are? Do they add a lot of thickness to the phone? I was going to go naked as I have with previous iPhones but for once I am worried about damage. My Tough Armor case 6 Plus should be waiting for me when I get in tonight, can't wait to see just how massive my new phone will be :)

Someone mentioned this as a possibility earlier in the thread, CPW seem to do it every year. Unfortunately they catch people with it every new release...

You would need to contact Apple to change the delivery address - it might be difficult though as it's probably in the final stages of dispatch so you could potentially delay your order (if it's possible at all)

Not good for me at all, I go to Uni Saturday morning, no way will I be able to get it driven or shipped up to me for at least a week, and at great expense.

Actually have been using the Ultra Hybrid for the past year on the 5S which is what I'm getting for the Plus and I have to say, not disappointed one bit. The screen protector is incredibly thin and entirely translucent and because you have the sides of the case coming up, you won't feel the edge of the screen protector.

Edit: Forgot you had the case already. Screen protector is boss. You won't regret it.
