If that's the case then it's insane.

How could EE, the largest 4G network and Apples launch partner for WiFi calling not have any of the highest end phones in the range for launch day? EE seem to be sending out lots of different messages. I called them earlier this morning and they told me even though I have heard nothing my 128gb SP + should be on track to arrive tomorrow and to just wait on DPD.

Feel like every time I read something new I have to call them for clarification!

I was told the same thing last night - It's very unprofessional on EE's part. I wouldn't mind if they had been honest with us all throughout this process but we are all being told different things.

Anyone ordered with Vodafone gone to Stage 3 or 4 in the tracking yet?

Placed my order Friday 12th early A.M. iPhone 6 64GB Grey and had processed confirmation - Still waiting for dispatch notification.

Nope. 6+ 64 SG with Vodafone.
Still stage 2.
Looking highly unlikely I'll see it tomorrow.

Can we not ask UPS to leave the parcel at our local depot?

so we can go and collect, instead of waiting all day at home for the guy to turn at up 6pm.

Hey im in the same boat, (64gb gold plus upgrade with vodafone) still on stage two, just off the live chat they say we should get our dpd notifications about 6ish god help them if they get this wrong hahah :p

Damn, can't be bothered driving all the way to Mallusk if I somehow miss the delivery... Hopefully they do use Royal Mail and I can collect it from the Post Office if I manage to miss the courier.

Yeah, if UKMail just hand over to Royal Mail it should be handled like any other package you need to sign for, you might just need to go to the local sorting office. Who knows though, UKMail might have drivers tomorrow given the volume

Placed a pre-order for an iPhone 6, 16GB last Friday with EE as I'm a long-standing business customer with them.

Haven't heard anything or had a confirmation, so called this morning. Although they have a full record of the conversation, the person never placed the order properly last Friday and therefore I have no order!

They apologised, said they could place the order today but that I'd now be at the back of the queue and they could offer nothing as compensation.

I'm so furious about it that I'm going to leave EE and take my whole business elsewhere.

My question is now, what is the quickest way for me to get my hands on an iPhone 6? I'm thinking of just ordering from Apple (sim-free) and using my current sim until the contract runs out and then buying a cheap pay as you go from Three. However I have another business account with Three and wondered if I'd be quicker getting a phone from them.

Any thoughts?

I have a 64gb space grey iphone 6 that I will be returning to apple. You can have it at cost price if interested. I'm based in Solihull near Birmingham

Still processing items! Driving me insane after seeing so many 7-10 day dispatch preorders being shipped.

You've nothing to worry about.

Mine is supposed to be delivered tomorrow and still stuck on preparing for shipment. It only changed to that from processing yesterday

At this rate the iPhones coming from China will get here quicker than mine is delivered

I know with UPS, if you miss the delivery during the daytime, you can call them and arrange to collect it close to the closing time of the depot. I did this with my 5.

I'm hoping I can do the same with UKMail - in fact they allow you to choose to collect but for some god unknown reason the earliest collection date is Monday

Who is here going to be awake very early tomorrow? :D
I'll be up from 6am myself just to sit next to the window and see the day goes by until that delivery man with his truck arrives :O

That's right.

On Friday it said;

Dispatched: 7- 10 business days
Delivery: 29 Sep, 2014 - 02 Oct, 2014 by Standard Shipping

On Monday on the Apple Orders page it updated to;

Dispatched: Delivers 18/09/2014 by Postal Delivery.

Now it says;

Shipped on September 18, 2014

09:29am on a 7-10 day dispatch. I live in the IOM now, so not actually in the UK but probably the same shipping time as you.

Dispatched or Shipped?

As far as I can tell, Dispatched = consignment leaves Factory/Shenzen, Shipped = arrived with carrier.

Dispatched. From China estimated delivery 23/9/14.

Royal Mail are delivering cases and small items but not phones, this will be done by UKMail

My word, I'm so glad the case has turned up today - the 6+ is going to be huge!

I even did a paper mock up before ordering to see, but I'm so glad I've got a day to get used to looking at the case as I fear I would've been regretting the purchase had it been the phone I saw first at this size.

Eek!

Mine is also 7-10 days 29 Sep - 2 Oct, but is still in the preparing for dispatch status, with the original delivery date. Also, money is still not taken from account, but counter fenced.

So despite mine being shipped on time (wednesday evening), I doubt I'll have mine here tomorrow as UKmail are being too slow with the change of shipping label despite being told on the Monday morning by Apple.

Grrr.

Ditto here...the bell for my house has been screwed and does not work. I will be sitting next to my window lookin for the UPS truck.

you are not alone....

BTW.... I am working from home tomorrow so that's also sorted now....

i wouldn't bet on it mate, when i queued last year they did nothing to say how low stock was, they could have saved the 200 people behind me the trouble of waiting.

obviously this is all in my opinion, I'm just saying that if anyone plans on queuing you may want to go tonight. I walked past covent garden on monday and there were 4 people camping out already

Oh yeah I appreciate the opinion anyway - we all make our own decisions based on the information available.

I'll let you know how I get on anyway!

Just spoke to EE again,

They are apparently getting their first batch of 128gb SG +'s in tomorrow so delivery should be Monday

It is being done based on when people ordered.

Surely they can dispatch on Friday if this is the case. DPD just tweeted "Don't forget any phone's dispatched on Friday will be delivered on Saturday :) If you're not available we'll try again Sunday :) #HappyDays". Again if this is the case that EE don't even have any iPhone 6 Plus' yet then we should get it delivered on Saturday?!

Copied from the CPW thread:

Argh. Please help me decide what to do. I cancelled my Voda contract when the tariffs were so high and the guy I spoke to last friday morning was rude to me, ended up moving onto EE through CPW, and the phone has been despatched. Vodafone just called to ask why I'm leaving. After explaining, the man told me he could get me a better deal now. Less than half the price I paid for the 6+ 64GB handset, and then if I added on my friends work discount the tariff would be cheaper too. Is it worth trying to get out of my Carphone Warehouse order? Would probably be on a long waiting list for the phone now, and it's a lot of hassle, but would save a lot of money long term. Torn. Was so excited for a new phone being delivered tomorrow.

From what I remember (at least in my part of the UK anyway) UK Mail will process and send these orders to Royal Mail who will do the final delivery.

In fact, it even says so on their website that they have links with Royal Mail who use their postmen and postwomen for the final delivery.

So I'm expecting mine at my usual post time tomorrow!

Hmmm. Unsure what to do. My UPS branch is literally 1 road away from my work's office, where I'm getting it delivered to, do I ring up and ask for them to hold it there!?

ohhh exciting! I almost thought I was the only person who'll do such thing! :D

I am off all this week, no work for me, just need my hot coffee pot ready and full all around the day tomorrow and I am good to received me goods!
