UK mail info

I just got off the phone with UK mail. They are delivering approximately 70,000 phones tomorrow! They usually say delivery is between 7am and 6pm but tomorrow they will intend to keep going until 8pm. If they still have stock to deliver at 8pm they will do a delivery on Saturday to get through them

Also, they will NOT deliver to a neighbour or leave anywhere 'safe', they're on strict instructions!

I live 50 miles from nearest UK mail depot some won't wait in specially and will hope for the best with it all!!

Roll on phone time!!! :D

Does anyone know what happens if, for example, the phone ordered via the Apple online store has a fault straight out of the box?

I know Apple are holding back 4% of stock for replacing bad units, but would I just be able to walk into any Apple store without an appointment on Saturday morning to get a replacement?

Just want to cover all bases even though it's unlikely!

Yep, just take it straight back. Happened to me last year and I bought from CW but Apple gave me a new 5s straight away. No problem.

Has anyone with a 6+ on order from apple who was originally in the 7-10 business days slot had theirs shipped yet?? I've seen a few people here who have had the 6 shipped but not the 6+

Not yet, still sitting at Preparing for Dispatch. Got a pending transaction from Apple in my online banking since yesterday. Still nothing in my support profile either.

Ordered a 6+ 64GB SG at 8:44am direct from Apple. 7-10 days / 30th Sep - 3rd Oct.

Aww yiss.

Bugger... via the Order Status page on Apple Store, my Tracking Number has now changed to the same as my Delivery Number (and I hadn't made a note of the original number), so can't check via UKMail website now :/

[Edit: Seems Delivery Number works as Cust. Ref. Number on UKMail's site].
It's still on Collected stage.

HAHAHA!!! :D

Some people have said earlier in this thread, when they changed address their delivery day changed from the 19th to 7~10 process time, maybe that might be related to your issue?

Also Apple is good in making their customer feel happy, so I am sure they'll solve it, cross fingers mate!!!

Well thats what I thought too and I asked this and they said the issue is courier side not to do with dispatch. So the courier actually has my iPhone which they will attempt to deliver on the 19th, however they still have my billing address shipping label. So the parcel will be moving to the Manchester depot where my billing address is rather than to my term time address. My shipping estimate is still the 19th.

In the grand scheme of things if they don't change it in time for launch day then it will only be monday or tuesday. Just a bit frustrating as I know UPS change shipping labels really quick when requested.

There is still time as my parcel has just been collected, it's not at the sorting hub yet. Maybe thats where they apply changes to shipping labels, as no matter where the package goes in the country it needs to check in to the birmingham distribution and sorting centre and then get shipped out to local depots.

Just wish the other couriers offered the approximate time that DPD do, it's such a useful feature.

I think UKMail do, or at least they did for my sister's 5S delivered last week. Was given a window of 12:58 to 13:58 and the driver turned up at 12:58 on the dot :)

Preparing for dispatch means usually that they are assigning a phone and serial number to your account so it should be a day or so before there is any change, but you maybe get it earlier than the estimate delivery date.

I see, I'll be crossing my fingers for you mate, wish you good luck and you get your iPhone by tomorrow! :D ;)

Just received this text from DPD! :D So happy!

Really hope the other guys in my situation get these today too!

Tracking says it was in Raunds, Northamptonshire, UK this morning at 07:05.

Just to reiterate this so other people know - I ordered from EE (over phone), Friday at 08:30ish a iPhone 6 Plus 128GB Space Grey.

Mine's showing at Birmingham now on the Synchreon tracking page. It's heading North! Will I only be able to track it with Synchreon or will it transfer to UkMail/Royal Mail?

Does anyone know where the personal pick up for reservations has the bar code? Apparently there is a scannable code:

'Ready For Pickup (RFP) barcode for Personal Pickup customers'

However all I have is a confirmation email saying my phone is reserved and I need to go between specific hours to pick it up. No code on there.

does anyone have any further information on this? I would also like to know, as I have reserved one for pick up tomorrow.

Hope so! Just adds an extra dimension to the 'excitement' as I won't know until early tomorrow morning whether it went to the Manchester local depot or Newcastle upon Tyne!

I got my Apple Leather case yesterday for my 4.7 white/silver 6.

I preordered with Vodafone last Friday morning and been at stage 3 since early Tuesday morning for instore collection so hoping all will be okay for collection tomorrow morning!

You can track it on both synview and UK mail - I have done so with mine - UK mail, go to 'manage delivery' just needs your number starting with '8' and your postcode

Quick question guys for any of you (if you's exist) That are from Northern Ireland.

There is no UK Mail depot in Northern Ireland, they're pretty much all mainland based. So would it be safe to assume that my delivery will actually be handled by Royal Mail (as stated on their website, UK Mail have links with Royal Mail) and if I miss the delivery it would therefore go to a Royal Mail collection office?

Its only logical to assume that, I can't imagine it being sent back to the mainland to go to a UK Mail Depot.

Good to see they actually do have that stock!

We have the same spec phone and called around the same time so I will waited with bated breath for my phone to buzz with news from DPD!!!
