My iPhone 5 was delivered on launch day at 6:55! The delivery guy apologised for it being so early :p I must have been one of the first in the UK to have it.

Hopefully I'll be lucky this time too.

UK Pre-Order Start Time

just catching up with all of this..

some confusion over what time do pre-orders start

the past 2 years it's been 8am UK time (BST).. and I do not see why this year would be different

Pre-Orders in the US start 00:00 in California time.. which is 8am UK time anyway...

So fire up your iOS Apple Store app (or webpage)..
Also recommend using Express Checkout for that 1 click experience.. :p

Good Luck!:apple:

So do three have no coverage where you work in reading? You say they have no 2g coverage which is true but why do you need 2g for work in reading if three provide 3G or even 4g?

Sorry, I may have confused things. Three at work is A-OK yeah, I just worry about other areas where Three may not be as strong on 3G and not be able to resort to a 2G signal. Maybe just worrying for no reason though.

I can't say about network coverage where you live but how about Vodafone?

Anyway I was with EE (Orange back then) 2 years ago with the iPhone 4, I'll never go back to them, ever. Their service is horrendous, and their customer service is terrible, and thats coming from someone who lives around the corner from their customer service centre and knows people who work there.

Vodafone is a big no no for me. Personal reasons as I used to be on them and notoriously lacking value.

I'm on EE currently, but likely moving to Three tomorrow. EE's LTE speeds are insanely amazing, and signal great where I am (Heathrow). Three however are likely going to be cheaper, offer unlimited data, and now they're doing free roaming in 16 countries (inc. USA).

Three are just a better deal, if you can hack the lack of speed compared to EE.

See speed for me is OK, but I also need coverage. Mostly using Spotify, emails, web-browsing and random apps which will need network. So I think just above-average speed is necessary, but blazing fast is not.

I think right now, I will see who will give me 4/5GB+ at the cheapest per month and least amount for the phone.

Roll on!

My missus went into our local O2 store to ask about the 6 and 6 plus, and whether they would have stock on the 19th. The saleswoman said they are not being released at the same time and they won't have stock of the 6 plus.

Sounds like she didn't have a clue what's going on....

I'll give them a call tomorrow and hopefully get through to someone with a clue. I have the gold 5s but the gold 6 looks damn ugly. Will go for the silver 128GB plus.

Luckily on the 5 and 5s releases I turned up 5 minutes before opening time, and was about the 4th person in the queue :)

i think the confusion comes from last year, when we had to order at 12:00 UK time. I remember that and having to keep pressing refresh

Likely to be three. I travel a fair bit and never have a signal issue. Areas you mentioned are never an issue.

Yeah and that wasn't a "pre-order." I remember ordering my 5 sitting on a 'plane on the runway at just after 8 with the app on 3G and it went through no bother!

I work in reading and manage to get 3G on O2

Yeah outside of work (I work in Green Park) its OK, but 7-9 hours a day I have "E" during that time. Sometimes I walk out of work and my phone is flooded with voicemails from missed calls

Cool! Acknowledged. I will just wait and see!

8AM is looking likely. Last year there was no pre-order for the 5s and orders began at midnight everywhere, so the release was staggered. But I'm hearing a synced pre-order release which would be 8AM for us guys.

Guys, from your experience, which is most likely to be avail you of getting your hands on the iPhone 6 first - the online pre-order or instore reservations?

Thanks

Well after a lot of watching reviews, cutting out templates, visiting the O2 shop to look at the Note 3 for size comparison I have finally decided!

I am going for the iPhone 6 64GB for £619, also getting the Black leather case I want to go back Black after living with my White 5s for a year.

I know I will be jealous the first time I see a 6+ but I think it would be too big for me. My template sticks out of the top of my jeans!

While I was in the shop O2 offered me £270 for my 5s but I expect that will go down by next week.

I pre-order always and always got mine in launch day, never had problems.

Not sure what to do! I live 55 mins from Trafford Centre and I am off next friday. Should i get them delivered or go get em from the store?

I hate waiting for deliveries and it might not come all day/ at all.

Trafford Centre could be quite fun to go to and buy it from, can get breakfast out too...

Do not go to Trafford, full of Asians - around 30 of them. All together, passing money up and down the queue buying all the stock.

One of them even offered to sell me their ticket that guaranteed you got a phone for £100.

I'm thinking of moving to EE to a sim only plan. Any advice on coverage, service, etc?

Sadly, they have a tiny 4GB for £22.99

If I reserve for in-store pickup, can I upgrade and renew my contract with EE, or do I have to buy sim-free? I'm assuming I pay at the store ?

I was set on the 4.7 before and afterwards I leant towards the 5.5 because of the extra features but I think the size outweighs the features. It's too big for my everyday use.

UK pre-order time

I am pretty sure the pre-orders will start at 8am tomorrow morning. I remember when I was ordering my iPhone 5 that was when pre-orders opened. It also makes sense for the time difference between America, UK and Australia. Carriers in the UK are saying 8am, and we are 8 hours ahead of America. In Australia carriers are saying 5pm, and they are 17 hours ahead of America.

Really annoyed carriers haven't released tariffs yet. They are praying on people to be so nervous on missing out that they will agree to any tariff just to get the new iPhone.

I think i'm getting the iPhone 6 Plus 64GB GOLD :) Don't seem to be that many people wanting the gold one for some reason.
