The worst service and coverage ever.
Best of both for me!

There is a 14 day grace period, so if you get a bad deal somewhere within 14 days you can cancel it without charge and go elsewhere for a better deal when there is likely to be more stock supplies.

Effort though - I feel a lot just simply CBA. Especially if they have the phone they want.

Most would have passed 14 days before realising somethings not quite right!

14 grace period applies for all contracts etc, It applies the board, from phone contracts, to car finance, and mortgages.

EE and Three don't.

EE - "If you take out or upgrade more than one line with us, this policy applies to each separately. We do not offer a change of mind policy on any of our products in store."

Three - "If you bought your device or accessory from one of our 3Stores, you may do a like-for-like exchange it within 7 days of purchase. We will not accept the return of any used, damaged or marked devices."

Nor does CPWH - "Unfortunately we do not operate a change of mind policy on this product." (Product being any monthly contract).

It's a legal right, it over rules company policies. Some companies may make it difficult but any financial commitment comes with a 14 day grace period.

That's on the Apple site, I meant the iOS App

You know I'd swear it was on the App when I looked earlier today under Account > Account Settings, but it's gone now. There's been no update to the App, but maybe the options are server based anyway so Apple can change them without having to update the App?

Got a standard text from Vodafone saying

"The big day is nearly here... To say thanks for being with us, here's a heads up to pre-order your iPhone"

Really? You needed to text me that? Like I didn't know about the day/time, just publish your damn tariffs!

Yeah got the same thing too! My optimistic self thinks that maybe tarrifs going up soon tonight?

As far as I understand it the 14 day cooling off period only applies to purchases made online, over the phone or on your doorstep and not if you make the purchase in the store.

Also important to know is that if you use the device on a network then you automatically forfeit the right to cancel.

It's been removed from the app

Only choice is to use the basket on the app as normal, or use the website

Looks like the feature has been removed from the iOS app.

Just had a browse myself and couldn't find it.

I still think the app is the better choice. It's more likely to work when the servers are taking strain anyway.

Yep, i've just updated the app and went through all the settings and it seems to have been removed.

But yes, i HIGHLY recommend people use the app to pre-order their phones, for the iPhone 5 launch the website crashed within 10-15 minutes but the app was fine and saved the day for me and a lot of people.

----------

I still have a credit card saved in settings on the app...

Yes, all my details were still saved...

I'm thinking of moving to EE to a sim only plan. Any advice on coverage, service, etc?

Sadly, they have a tiny 4GB for £22.99

I've switched to EE and I must say that their coverage in London is very good. Speeds are amazing fast and I've never experienced any problems. It's best to check your area coverage and see if it's good.

Nonsense.

I suggest you read this.

http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/problem/i-want-to-cancel-my-mobile-phone-contract-early

Specifically

"Returning a mobile phone bought in a shop

If you buy your mobile phone or enter into a phone contract in a high street shop, then you don’t automatically have any cancellation rights if there isn’t a problem with the handset or the service."

How do you refresh easily in the Apple Store App, do i have to close it and reopen it for it to refresh or can i keep on cycling back and forth between the two menus on the iphone section.

So preorders will be 8am UK time (midnight Pacific Time) if it was Midnight in each region then it would already be on pre order in Australia (which it isnt)

It's all the same data from your account. I changed my card details via the website and when I checked the app it had the same new card on it.

As an aside, if you have updated your credit card details recently, it may be worth going onto the iTunes or App Store and buying something cheap (even a free app may do it). You will get asked to confirm your card security. Better to do that now than at 8am tomorrow.
