I was told they can't discuss until the store opens tomorrow morning so won't be published until 8am. In fairness, the sales agent agreed that it wasn't the best way to to business but said if they released their prices the other networks would tweak theirs to offer better deals - which would have been good for us!

That's a shame. Oh well. Roll on 8am.

Anyone know if i sign a contract to get subsidized phone, do any of the networks let you pay off the remaining phone portion you owe early so you can lower your bill. Does it also eliminate your contract terms?

so I wonder when the UK will get apple pay put our new fancy iphones to full use! Wasnt really any idea of specifics in the keynote.

Wonder if it'll just work with any contactless card reader, like they already have in mcdonalds and m&s - or it'll need new ones (if so then it'll be a good while before we get to use it!)

O2 confirm online pre-orders starting at 8:01 tomorrow morning :

Are you ready?
You wanted to hear the latest news about Apple products. And here is the news you've been waiting for.
iPhone 6 is launching on Friday 19 September, and you can pre-order online tomorrow (Friday 12) from 8.01am. Or pop into your nearest O2 shop.
Get iPhone 6 with O2 Refresh on a 2GB or 5GB tariff. Plus, you can double your data for just £5 if you need more once you get started. Better still, choose our 20GB tariff and get 6 months free phone insurance, access to a Platinum customer service team, and the choice of 6 free cinema tickets or a £30 Debenhams voucher.
So, tomorrow's the day. Just remember to set your alarm clock.
Be more dog.

Check out iPhone 6

Oooh is this on their website?

That blows my Vodafone sim only out of the water! As long as the coverage is good of course...

3 cover 97% of the UK apparently. But when i moved into my new flat, i had no signal what so ever and threatened to leave and they offered me a home signal box which connects via wifi and creates a FULL signal on your phone and on multiple devices as long as they are all on 3.

They offered it me free of charge, although it's supposed to be £50 i think.

According to Wikipedia
"Contactless payment systems are credit cards and debit cards, key fobs, smartcards or other devices that use radio-frequency identification for making secure payments."

Contactless cards use RFID, not NFC. Both are provided by NXP Semiconductors but yeah, doesn't look like the readers across the country are NFC.

I've recently moved and forgot I change my address with the bank. As such my billing and shipping addresses are different.

Can't see it being an issue as my bank billing address is still correct.

Anybody know if this might be a problem?

I take it there's no system with either CPW, Apple or any carriers ro reserve for pickup without paying? I don't have the funds on my card til the 19th when I'm paid but would really like to pre-order/reserve for pickup.

EE will do similar with Apples new wifi calling.. no box needed!

3 seem to be the best imo, i've just tried finding the best deals on their site but they've changed the whole website layout and i can't be bothered (bloody idiots).

But i'm on a 1 month rolling contract, i get unlimited data, 5000 texts and 200 minutes for £12.90 a month. I used to be on exactly the same deal but with 600 minutes for £18.90 a month. But they may have changed since i signed up. If you're willing to get stuck in a 12 month or 24 month contract, then the prices will be cheaper, but i prefer not to be stuck in contracts.

:)

Yep still with three here signed up to iPhone Sim One plan early this year only paying £20 I get 2000 Minutes 5000 Minutes 3to3 and All u can eat INCLUDING Tethering 4G.

I want one of these for my house, it's No Signal downstairs, one bar upstairs. However I suppose they'll stop giving out these boxes now that they have their WiFi calling app. It works pretty well actually, notifies you with a ringing sound if someone's calling, and the app is fast. Only issue is the text message app doesn't let you copy paste or do anything really, and of course it's annoying having two different sets of text message conversations.

does it move quickly?? only ever used delivery before and am working nights on the tuesday so don't want to miss it while I'm having a kip in the morning lol

also can i choose to pick up via the apple store app??

:D Yeah, 3 seem to be the cheapest all round really, unless you wanna go with giffgaff, who are extremely unreliable when it comes to the network being up and running perfectly 24/7 and there is no real customer service. Hence my reason to move to 3.

Apologies if this has been asked before but are there likely to be any details on tariff pricing and up front costs before 8AM tomorrow? I can't remember what happened previous years.

Any reason not to use topcashback and/or phones4u? Any experiences? There has to be a catch to save £100 off a new contract/upgrade? Is there any reason for me to go straight with Vodafone then and forego the cashback?

Phone 3 up and complain, explain the signal issue and it renders your phone practically useless and that the wifi calling app isn't good enough. (i've never heard of it) - If need be, threaten to leave and move to a different network, that's what i did, and the woman on the phone soon offered me a cheaper deal and a free home signal box which should of been £50, along with free delivery.

Worth a try. ;)

Not sure on either - depends what time of the day you go and pick it up I guess! :D I've never used the app to order anything, I'm going to try and reserve one on the website tomorrow morning :)

The systems in shops in the UK are NFC readers. NFC readers can read RFID tags.

No, it was an email from O2 after registering for iPhone 6 pre-order details. Loads of other people are reporting receiving the same email, over on the O2 forums.

Received it about an hour ago.

Ah thanks - I signed up for that and nothing here on my end! How rude of them! :p
