UK iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Thread

UK Mail - not all bad (maybe!?)

UK Mail were due to deliver my apple ordered phone .. I had to go out and saw online that they attempted delivery at 11.20am. On my return home I was fully expecting to see a card saying they'd redeliver on Monday but it said tomorrow! I'm quite impressed as its my fault I wasn't there not theirs! (I already knew they'd do deliveries on Saturday for customers they didn't have time for on Friday)

With us, (mid Wales) UK mail isn't a company, they are using local couriers (well, 50 miles away lol) so I suppose the service standard is decided by those individual couriers!?

No complaints yet but if it doesn't come tomorrow watch out!! 😱
 
This is weird i got the email from apple saying I will get my iPhone tomorrow but my ups tracking still says its in Koera.


I have no idea whats going on.
 
I rang Apple earlier and they said it will be with me tomorrow between 9am-6pm so will have to wait in to it appears. Heres hoping he is right

DHL do HK to UK, so maybe it just depends on what carriers Apple are using.

Thinking back I'm almost certain my iPhone 4 on that route came through TNT.

FWIW my UPS iPhone 6 has done the Shenzen -> Hong Kong -> Dubai -> Cologne -> East Mids route. Landed at East Mids and hour or so ago, tracking hasn't update yet, but sounds like they might be joining the batch that's flying in from Warsaw for the final leg.

All very odd, as the email said, all tracking will be revealed saturday morning (hopefully)

My guess is all the phones that went through Korea were in the same bundle. Some got scanned, some didn't, but if I were a betting man I'd say they are all on the same plane now.
 
Looks like the iPhones met at Korea, some left via Warsaw and some are left there? I don't get why thats happened?

I shared that theory but find it hard to see how some were scanned and some not? :/ I do hope you were right! 😀

original date was 29-2 then changed to 22nd then got e-mail today for the 20th so thats why i rang with so many conflicting dates😕
Also im in N.I so that might explain why they have split up

Most likely the scanner is delayed with updating the status, you wont know till morning I guess or till you ring Apple.
 
Maybe some missed the plane, and cos of that apple are giving us ones based in UK already tomorrow......whereas ones that made the plane have to wait till 22nd? Lol......the irony would be amazing.

Oh and by the way - Its been great reading this thread right from the start - how many bloody pages! And yet hardly a bicker or sarky comment anywhere - unlike when I've had replies from across the pond within these forums!!

Great bunch of guys and gals - hats off to you all for the fun and chatter!!

(ps I know I should have waited for the launch over here in Portugal but very happy I'm getting mine in the next day or so via the uk!!)

Hello, All you guys download DEAD SPOTTER Free Application from the apple app store and test your screen for dead pxels with Full Brightness.
Both my iphone 6 + and iPhone 6 has dead pixels getting replacements next week.
 
UPS plane left East Midlands about 20 minutes ago, aiming right at my house... I'll turn on the landing lights lol

To be honest I'd rather not know......a phone with 2 million pixels if 1 is dead im hoping I can pretty much live with that lol
 
After getting an iPhone 6 delivered today from Three, I realised quite quickly their network was terrible compared to EE. Calls dropped, no or minimal LTE when their coverage said good inside and out online, and their customer service was terrible.

I've got 14 days to return the phone and cancel my contract, so earlier today I ordered via EE (who have amazing LTE coverage in my area). It's a little more expensive than Three, and only 20GB data rather than unlimited, but I am getting 50-70Mbps in my house on my iPhone 5 (with EE), compared to 7Mbps with Three.

Just got a text saying EE iPhone will be delivered tomorrow (I only ordered earlier today).

Sorry Three, I tried, but your network just isn't on par with the big boys.

Thanks for the tip! Anyone know where I might be able to get a temp case for Ip6+ on the off chance it does turn up tommorow or monday? My Spigen has been preparing to ship for ages! Wont be her until 27-30th and with the 6+ I know I will drop the moment its not protected 🙄
