Not sure why everyones getting so agro over 'shipping incompitencies', it seems very few, if any, are receiving their iPhones late.

I agree Julian. I narrowly missed the order window for Friday deliveries, but Apple / UPS have steadily improved the expected date & then hugely over-delivered against their initial commitment.

Whilst people are excited and frustrated, there are a lot of posts calling UKMail 'clowns', but it seems outweighed to me by people ordering both sizes intending to return the one they don't like, making in-store reservations & then not showing up, preordering online and then making an in-store reservation instead, ordering from a Carrier & cancelling to go to a store, getting a delivery slot email & then going out etc etc, collecting a Plus and then deciding it's too big ...

Courier drivers seem to be under phenomenal pressure to upwards of 50+ drops a day for relatively low pay and their biggest variable (road traffic) is completely out of their control. It seems a minor miracle to me to get 4M units of anything delivered around the world (after manufacturing it in advance in near-secrecy) so quickly.

It'd be easier for Apple to be looser with their dates and call everything 'estimated', but they seem keen to set high ambitions and then beat them. I think the best way overall is to order online to reserve an in-store pickup then you've got a bit more control over the final leg (plus a bit of the buzz!)

UK iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Thread

So as I see it there are 3 groups of orders

1) 29-2 date. These seems to have progressed from China, kazakhstan and into Europe and UK. People are seeing these delivered today

2) the 30-3 group:

2.1) some stuck in Korea as of around 19.10 local time - mine

2.2) some stuck in China

Looks like the last two will see deliveries Monday. I'm hoping there will be more progress on ups tracking soon though.

hopefully mine is out for delivery now :)
top tip::
if you go to the US UPS site, then track your parcel, then click contact -> live chat, you will see a more uptodate track. The main page says mine is scanned out of Castle Don, but the live chatt says its in reading, confirmed by the lady at UPS i just spoke to :)
Good to know! Mine is in Korea and saying delivery needs to be rescheduled, but going on the live chat I get

Scheduled Delivery Updated To:
Tuesday, 09/23/2014

So I'd say the ones in Korea won't be delivered today, but Monday if we are lucky, or Tuesday :)

Anyone elses iPhone just showing Koera on the UPS tracking ? and have got the email from apple saying your iPhone will be with you today?

Exactly. A lot of very entitled people I think. Until Apple don't meet their original delivery estimates, at the time of ordering, nobody has any reason to complain. Of course they'll find a way to scream bloody murder because their luxury phone isn't in their hands exactly when they want it to be.

As far as I can see, almost everybody (at least with the 1-2 week estimates) are receiving their phones early.

Honestly people, calm down.

But my order status shows me nothing, other than it has been dispatch not an expected delivery date. So yes it does need to be updated, they have two items valued at £1400 I don't care when it gets delivered as long as I can be here to sign for them.

Not meaning to be rude, but when visiting Apple's Order Status page, are you also then clicking on the "Track Delivery" button underneath where it says "Dispatched"? The estimated delivery details won't show unless you do this. (And I don't know how else you originally got your UPS tracking reference number, which you mention having used in another post?)

So, mine has been delivered to work.

Hi,

Just got off the phone with Apple CS who informed me that emails sent out to customers yesterday were sent in error due to a system outage and they're advising everyone to go with their original delivery estimates (the one in the dispatch notification, not the original order confirmation email, that is).

I've also confirmed with UPS, who have said the exact same thing.

For reference, I'm waiting for a 6 Plus with a dispatch on 19/09 and an estimated delivery of 22/09 - my original delivery date was 30/09 - 03/10.

There are conflicting posts on this - my date was 23/09, then 22/09, then I got the email saying Saturday & it did arrive at 0950AM today.

I'm was a 29-02 but got the email yesterday for delivery today...

But it states it's been sitting in Cologne since 11 last night. I see others who have posted the tracking from what I assume is the same flight but theirs seems to have progressed further whilst mine seems to be stuck in Cologne.
Getting frustrated now as I cancelled my sat plans for this unexpected delivery.
Maybe it fell off the plane in Cologne :(

Yes, I am aware of how to track an Item, and yes I used the UPS tracking details. But no expected or estimated dates showing anywhere. I obtained my UPS tracking details first by entering my order reference number on UPS and then officially from the Apple dispatch notice, which also had no expected date for delivery.

I am not being rude either or expecting a magic wand to make my phone appear out of thin air, but I think they should at least give me an estimated date so I can plan, even if this changes don't you agree. More than happy to let you log into my account to see if you can make logic of it. SO to just to be clear, No estimated date on dispatch email, no dates on the order status and no dates on UPS...

There's a 4th group which I was in. Shipment went China -> Hong Kong -> Dubai -> Cologne -> East Mids and out for delivery today. I was originally given a 29-2 date.

Think it went China -> Hong Kong if the phone was made at the factory in Shenzhen, and China -> Korea if it was made at the Zhengzhou factory.

The first movement I saw on my UPS tracking was when I woke up yesterday morning. A little over 24 hours and it was delivered to my work. I've got some errands to run in town but am going to try and swing by work later. I work for a retailer in the head office but the head office is closed over the weekends, and I'm not sure where it will be kept over the weekend which worries me a little.

Still stuck in korea and the live chat part of the USA UPS site says 23rd. Apple email said 22 then said saturday like everyone else. Happy for tuesday as business delivery address shut at weekend. Then 78 quid to forward ship to Portugal.

They've juust made a ailed delivery attempt at my office.

They've obviously seen the first gate is shut and not bothered to drive down to the next one. Doh.

Monday it is then...
