My replacement iP6+ has arrived - no dead pixels (on the first check, and 5 more afterwards :roll eyes: ).

But I had to go back to work, so the main fun won't happen until tomorrow... Unless I will cancel my night out :eek: Hmm!

I'm still waiting for my replacement too hoping this one is perfect.
Anyway my phone is Preparing for Dispatch for Monday delivery.
 
Hi guys, has anyone had any experience returning an iPhone to Apple's online store? I decided the 6+ was too big for me, and bought a 6 from the store in Victoria Square, but they couldn't take the 6+ because I bought it online.

I arranged to return the phone online and it said I'd be contacted by a carrier to arrange a pick up within 48 hours. This was 2 days ago and I still haven't received a phone call from the carrier, so I contacted Apple and they said that was unusual and they should have contacted me by now. The guy said he'd get in touch with the carrier to move things along but I still haven't heard.

Anyone know if it can take longer than the stated 48 hours?
 
Guys, I am just about to return my iPhone 6 16GB Space Gray to Apple Store UK. If anyone from London is interested, I can sell it at the same price as at Apple Store (no damage at all, silicon case and screen protector from the very beginning).

I finally held the Plus today and it is everything that I wanted since I sold the Note II for the iPhone 5. Man, I need it. This must be what heroin addicts feel like between hits.

I'll be up until midnight tonight... come on! :cool:

Dispatched today indeed! Anyone know what service Apple is using to ship? My tracking number isn't recognised by UPS.

Just checked my serial number on the Apple support website and my phone was only manufactured this week - awesome!
 
Hey guys, I posted this on the general iphone forum, but it got swallowed up, and I'd appreciate a bit of feedback:

So I managed to drop and crack the screen of my 3 day old iPhone 6, and it was in a case too. Anyway, I tried to sort it online, but they can't proved a loan phone. I went to my local store (Touchwood) and they couldn't repair it instore, and if they could the price was 'about £200'. I told him I was quoted £85, but he said that doesn't include VAT blah blah blah. The only only option he could offer was a replacement for £199. The Genius wasn't very helpful. I left the store with original iPhone in hand!
Apple online can do it for the £85, but that leaves me without a handset for a few days.
Is my experience similar to others who have had screen replacement issues?

UPS when not at home

Hi trackers! Mine's winged its way to Almaty, Kazakhstan, and is due to come on Tuesday. Just been told I'll be in NY for the week, and my missus is working. Has anyone any experience in rescheduling UPS deliveries? I'm under the impression it has to be done by the vendor, not the recipient. Just don't want it to disappear into a black hole.

Yes it does but they do contact you, goes quiet at weekend so probably why you have not heard.

anyone having issues of the screen rotation not working i.e. the screen getting stuck upside down and the only way to flip it back is to put screen rotation lock on then as soon as you turn it off around it goes again :confused:

Happened twice to my 6+ but after a soft reset seems to work again i just hope its third time lucky and it doesn't happen again don't really want to have to send the phone back :D
