Well ladies & gentlemen , I am now the owner of a beautiful 64GB SG 6 Plus.
As per my previous post , it was sitting at the Thetford TNT Depot from this morning , 50 minutes away from me.
I phoned at 07:30 & after giving them the consignment number , they confirmed that it was sat there , however would not be out for delivery today , & wouldn't be delivered until the original date of Tuesday 21st.
Oh I don't think so !!
Took proof of address & passport & wham bam , it now sits in my car !!!
Won't have time to set up until I get home etc , but from first handling & inspection , it looks & feels like a masterful piece of workmanship !!
Regards
James
Finally some movement on my order, the money has been taken out of my account and when logging into my account it now says "preparing for dispatch"hopefully it won't take to long to be delivered.
It's always possible. Maybe the initial waves of demand are easing. After faffing around & staking out the Apple stores in central London & near home hoping to do a walk in ....I have ended up ordering a 6+ 64GB SG online# .
Strangely enough the payment had gone through; does this mean with a stroke of luck it could be dispatched earlier & delivered than the Nov 17th-24th estimates?

The stores are ridiculously depleted at the moment for a potential in store pickup.
I don't know who is at fault here but I am surprised the media have not been as quick to jump in at Apple to ask where are all the numbers?
They would only spin it saying that the phones are the most popular ever hence the shortages.
Wondering if anyone savvy enough has written a 'Reservation Watcher', that can ping me an email if a particular store has stock.
I feel like I've read something about this somewhere before.
Are you referring to this.
I have had my 6+ for a few days now and have decided it is too big and I am swapping for a 6 instead.
Spoke to the Apple online store and they said no problem they will send a 6 out and then arrange for my 6+ to be picked up. Trouble is I got 2 emails today one telling me that they will phone tomorrow to arrange collection of my 6+ and another email telling me that I won't get my 6 till November the 4th!
I expressly told the guy that I can't be without a phone so I am in a bit of quandry now aren't I? Anyone else had this problem? I am hoping Apple will be all good about it and not be too strict with the 14 day return thing.
Rock on. I knew some enterprising fellow would have something like that.
Well it would be great, but I can't get the script to work. Keeps telling me the service might be down. It's not.
From trial and error, I think when it says that the service is down, it means that there aren't any of that specific iphone in stock in the store you've chosen.
For example I chose Regent Street and Stratford City as my stores. It's picking up the 16gb iP6+'s that are available in the Regent Street store but nothing else, which is correct, and then it pings up with the service might be down straight after because Stratford don't have anything available.
At least that's what I make of it. Could be wrong.
EDIT - I am wrong. First time doing this so trying to figure it out on the go.
Tweeted at the guy who wrote it and it's fixed now.
