Whoray....... After 4 weeks of waiting I finally get the Dispatched notice showing up in my order form.
Only discrepancy is the email notice says expected date to be 18 Nov whereas go to the Track my Order and this one says the 20 Nov!

Anyone else had any discrepancies and if so which was right?

Pleased for you.....
I on the other hand ordered the exact same model on the 15th Oct from the Online Apple Store with a wait time of 4 weeks which times out tomorrow BUT my order form has been sat at 'Processing' for some while.

Question to those that ordered and received from the Apple Store ~ How long did your order sit at 'Processing' before it changed to dispatch?
Tomorrow is 4 weeks and still nothing back from Apple.[/QUOTE

in the same boat:(, ordered mine on the 18th Oct; still in Processing but did get an email from Apple Ireland saying they were trying hard to deliver my 6+ 64GB Space Grey, and they would dispatch btw the 10th & 17th. Interesting to see how this plays out:confused:

I'll keep you in the loop if you like as and when things change my end.
The second your happy I'll stop updating you with any changes in my order details.

I ordered on the 17th October for an iPhone 6 + 128gb space grey and received an email saying that they are preparing to ship this week. Mine still says processing though!

Well was looking at contracts last night and couldn't bring myself to sign up to two years. So have reserved a 16gb silver for pick up today.

Screw it. What are credit cards for!

Any UK'ers get a 6, then decide to swap to a 6+? I got a 6 launch day, and could sell and get a 6+ but would want for Xmas, and current 6+ are looking at Dec 15th so would need to order asap.

Still not sure on the size, for normal everyday use. The 6+ seems to be, for the size screen, bigger than every other phone.

Thanks

No problem.
Latest my end is although the email I received from Apple says it departed today from China I will have a delivery by the 18 Nov, that makes it 7 days from when you receive your email to when you should expect delivery.
However, if you check online against your order it may tell you differently.
Mine Gave a different delivery date of the 20 Nov, that makes it 9 days and not 7.

Finally, the delivery is with UPS. Therefore, by going to UPS UK and inserting the Tracking Number you get when you check your order at Apple you get to see a true trace as to where you item actually is.
Mine gives a time schedule stating place by place.
At the moment it is now at ZhengZhou, China.
UPS have the same date as Apple Online being the 20 Nov, so when your email arrives don't simply believe that date to be true....... Check it with both Apple Online and the carrier UPS UK. :)

If yours follows the same route as mine, next stop will be Hong Kong, followed by Germany and finally Castle Donnington. Hong Kong to delivery took only two days. There's a pretty good UPS tracking app in the App Store.

That makes it a lot faster than what UPS are saying. Cheers.... I'll be keeping an eye on the progress.
Thanks for your input. :)

I did the opposite. I bought a 6+ and returned it on the 14th day for a 6. It's just not usable as a quick handheld device. Quick being the keyword. It's a two-handed device - a "phablet" for lack of a better term.

I couldn't walk and use it without feeling as if I was about to drop it, one-handed texting proved impossible, I struggled to answer it with one hand when it rang, the rotating springboard was irritating, and I found I was constantly using 'reachability' - aka tapping three times to achieve a one-tap-action. In short, it slowed me down.

It was good for games, video and internet when I had two hands free on the train. Social apps look a little nicer too. However, for the rest of my apps, I discovered, screen size is totally irrelevant.

That's just my own use case though. Yours will be different. You might love it, and no-one here can predict that. The Apple employee I returned it to did say that she'd seen a number of people returning the 6+ for the same reasons, but not many 6 being returned. I did prompt her though, so could have been nonsense.

PS. Don't order online. Just reserve and buy one same day. I did that with both my 6+ and 6, no problems or waiting.

Just had an update....
It's now left Zhengzhou and has arrived in Incheon South Korea.
Whether this means it will bypass Hong Kong will come next but one thing is for sure the time it is staying in each arrival is clear there is no rush.

No the best method is to do both and order online while you TRY to reserve one in a store. For me the online order came up trumps first.

Although when I was looking couple weeks ago there were much lower stocks in store than now it seems.

Think I must have touched lucky then. I decided to buy outright. Went on the reserve page just after midnight and reserved an iPhone 6 for collection the next day. Got it yesterday.

Why is it difficult? Load reservation page at 00:05am, then start refreshing. About ten past, the site comes online and it takes about 15 seconds to complete the reservation.

If there is no stock to reserve then it's kind of difficult ;) . Like I said , stock is becoming more plentiful now since when I ordered few weeks ago

Not a happy bunny :(

My ip6 which has been in a case since I got it and has been treated with kid gloves and never dropped has a defective screen. It's lifted up on one side by several millimetres from the casing. Still works ok.
Taking it in to get looked at and hopefully exchanged on Wednesday. :apple:

Took it to Apple Bullring today and they said it will cost me £220 to replace because they say I have bent it!!
I spoke to the supervisor who said the same and have emailed the store leader to complain. Who do I escalate this to, if as I suspect, they stick by this edict.

I am absoluetly effing FUMING!

Hey has anyone had experience with CURRYS iPhone 6s?

Are they sim free or do they lock to first sim network you put in?

had several conflicting reports:eek:

Currys is the same company as CarPhoneWarehouse now, the stock will be CPW stock so will lock to the first UK network sim you insert. If you REALLY have to deal with them, make sure you use a Three sim first.
