Ouch! I preordered from CPW this morning and got my acknowledgement email at 0804. Haven't received any emails since though.
I ordered a 64GB Plus at 8.34 and my sister the same at 8.32 so there were some around early on. Both our orders are still Processing though - both paid with Lloyds Amex.
People need to stop worrying about payments.
If you have an email or your order shows on the order status then you're fine. Don't worry about what holds have been taken or stuff like that. Two people in seemingly the exact position can have different holds but the effect is the same, their phones will be dispatched.
From previous reports on these threads, even if there is subsequently some problem with payments, apple have contacted people rather than just cancel orders, and if your card provider suspects fraud you would have heard by now.
So don't waste your time worrying about what's going on behind the scenes with your payment. If you have an acknowledgement then you're fine.

I've just been getting the 'Something went wrong' on my order status all day. Last got on about 9ish, said it was 'Processing Items'. Ordered at 08:30

That's the same overall price as Three but you're having to pay 240 upfront instead of 0 with 53/mo after (and Three have unlim data)
Ive been seeing the Something went wrong screen all day too. I think its ok now because my order status is showing and its showing as preparing to dispatch. The main thing is when you ordered it said 9/19. Youll be fine for launch day

Yes that is a good theory, probably is something like that.
Yes it is, due date of 10 to 17th Oct, not too bad considering I had to cancel my first one (wrong debit card) and order again, went through at 9.31.
I still cannot get into my account to check the status of my order, it keeps telling me there has been an error every time I try to view my order.

Doubt it, they are coming from China!! I'd imagine its a 24hr operation.

Same, every time i check apple for my order status is says "We're Sorry - Something went wrong with your request. Please try again later." however my order is already "Preparing for Dispatch", so I assume I am all good to go...?
Yes the page is down due to the volume of pre orders going through, if you are on preparing for dispatch then you're fine, you have nothing to worry about.
