UK iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus Thread

I'm going to be normally queuing in Birmingham bull ring for the new phone , no reservation , anyone else ???
 
Crap phone day 5: A mate of mine lent me an old iPhone 4. Managed to charge it up, insert my sim only to mind it won't work! Doh! Got my hopes up for a while......

A load of people in this forum need to calm down. We are still 5 days to go until the phone is released, and people are panicking because they have heard nothing. There is nothing to tell, the same thing happens every year, you will get your shipping details at the last minute when the iPhones are actually shipped. Some people may get their tracking information sooner but their iPhone won't be dispatched any sooner than anyone else's. A lot of people go through this process every year and at this stage they always panick.

Id say 8 pm is the cut off for shipping tonight, as that's the least I've ever ha an apple order ship. But it depends on who is dealing with it, if it is in UPSs hands then they work 24/7 so status could change at any time! Will be keeping an eye on the track by reference section

Been a bit absent from this forum so bear with me if I'm repeating...

When you say that 8pm today would have been the latest it's ever shipped, do you mean iPhones?

If Apple decide to do what they did with the Watch order and have them despatch from UK warehouses then it's quite possible we won't get a shipping notification until Thursday evening.

Hell to the no! ... did that for the iPhone 4... never again! The novelty wore off after being there for for over 5 hours and not managing to get the model I wanted... the model I did get had a fault and had to be returned less than a week later. LOL
 
Sorry to hear that Badmelon, I've always got there really early and haven't been dissapointed with my choice of model , saying that I do book time off and prepare for a long haul . I did queue for almost 4 days !!!!!!!

How do you know Apple will even have stock on launch day? All stock has been reserved, all the 6S+ and some of the 6s were reserved fully. Only the 16gb 6s were plenty.

Seems all the popular colors and models have been allocated so by queuing up they may not have any to sell to walk ins, unless someone doesnt turn up which is a gamble.
 
Last year the reservations and online orders of the 128 plus gold had sold out exceptionally quickly , that being the case I was still able to get one in store on launch day ( limited quantities available )

Ah thats good to hear, they have reservation and walk in stock!!

I was out of country last year so missed out on the 6 launch so wasnt part of the pre order.

I hope they split the walk in and reservation queues as i have early morning reservation so want to be in and out of there
 
Ive noticed a charge today on Barclays for one of my phones and it's showing in the support profile. Though my other phone isn't in profile yet and is just a hold.

Anyone else like this.
 
They do split the queues , security are outside around 5am starting to separate the queues , then around 6ish on the launch morning they allow the first few in the queue to go inside the bull ring and wait , while they're outside arranging barriers for the two queues .

My Silcone Case for my 6 has also started to spilt on sides. how did you go about swapping it out? Do you need to book a genius appointment or just go straight to a assistant?

Your probably right. Think shipped won't happen until thursdsay with the tracking number. We will all get our phones on Friday though
 
Someone else has probably posted this already, but if you check your online support profile at apple https://supportprofile.apple.com/ then if it's shipped your new phone will come up in the list with a serial number. Mine is there now! :) Along with an old iPod I didn't know I still had.
 
Chill out people and stop pestering the poor support staff with the "why haven't my phone shipped yet" questions.

They are probably in the uk warehouse already while the Americans are coming straight from China. I can order something from Amazon at 10pm Sunday night and it turns up Monday so I'm pretty sure it's not too late in the day to assign a courier. Everyone is in the same boat so unless everyone isn't going to get their phone you have nothing to worry about.

That all said I've got a reservation to avoid such problems and waiting around :)
